11月30日，广州市番禺区诺德安达学校迎来了首个校园开放日，吸引了超千名家长与同学前来参观。通过学校宣讲会、体验课程、校园参观等环节让家长及学生充分感受广州市番禺区诺德安达学校的全球校园的魅力。
诺德安达教育集团是世界著名的全球教育集团，我们在29个国家经营管理着66所学校，并在这些学校中为超过六万名学生提供从幼儿园至中学毕业（K-12）的高品质教育。在中国，诺德安达集团有8所国际学校和6所已建成的双语学校。广州市番禺区诺德安达学校是集团的一员，将于2020年9月迎来第一批学子入读，学校位于广州市番禺区西和路，占地43亩，可容纳1728名学生，将满足728名学生的寄宿需求。学校将以中华文化为根基，融合实施国家义务教育课程及受到全球广泛认可的国际化教学方法及教学元素，提升学生在全球背景下必备的核心素养，引领他们在未来日益激烈的全球竞争中走向成功。
诺德安达教育集团首席执行官Andrew Fitzmaurice对诺德安达教育集团做了全面的介绍。
学校的校长杨琳琳女士和教育学监Swann博士向家长详细地介绍了本校的办学理念、课程设置、拓展活动、特色课程和师资力量等方面信息，共同传达了“安达励志，志在高远”的教育理念。
特色课程，专业教学
丰富体验课程涵盖中小学的语文、英语、数学、信息技术、艺术、音乐等，中西融合的教学模式、新颖的教学方法、优秀的学科教师，都充分体现了诺德安达的教学优势。
同学们还体验了精彩纷呈的课外活动课。
诺德安达与美国麻省理工学院合作的STEAM（理科综合实践）项目，寓教于乐、理论结合实践的课堂让同学们始终情绪高昂。在茱莉亚-诺德安达表演艺术项目的现场体验环节，同学们跟随节奏敲打鼓点，感受激情洋溢的音乐世界。
专业后勤，安全舒适
来访家庭还参观了现代化教学楼及温馨舒适的学生宿舍。每一个教室内全部配备交互式电子白板、学生储物柜和美国进口的空气清新设备，教室宽敞、明亮，极具现代感。
四人一间的寝室，配备有独立的盥洗室，温馨舒适；高年级宿舍为上床下桌设计，为学生提供独立思考的学习空间；低年级宿舍为学生设计共享学习的大桌子，鼓励学生积极讨论，促进交流。未来宿舍楼中还将带有设计感的休闲区和私人学习区，都将给为孩子们带来不一样的寄宿体验。
集团指定的餐饮供应商SLETO公司为来访家庭制作了精美的茶点，餐饮体验区络绎不绝，大家都有机会品尝到学校高品质的餐饮服务。

Global Campus and Guangzhou School
On the November Open Day, Nord Anglia School Guangzhou was officially open to the public for the first time, with more than 1,000 parents and students visiting. Through Parents Information Sessions, demo classes and school visit, families have fully experienced the charm of global campus in NAS Guangzhou.
Nord Anglia education is a world-renowned global education group who operates 66 schools in 29 countries and provides quality education for over 60,000 students from kindergarten through secondary school (k-12). Nord Anglia Education has successfully opened 8 international schools and 6 bilingual schools throughout China. As part of the education group, NAS Guangzhou will be welcoming students at the beginning of next September. Located at Xihe Road, Panyu District, Guangzhou, NAS Guangzhou covers an area of 43 acres with a total student capacity of 1,728 and a boarding capacity of 728 for students aged 6-16.
Based on Chinese culture, NAS Guangzhou will follow a progressive blend of core elements of the Chinese National Curriculum with other renowned international curricula, enhancing the core literacy for students in a global context and leading them to be successful in increasingly fierce global competition in the future.
On the spot, Andrew Fitzmaurice, global CEO of Nord Anglia Education, introduced comprehensively about Nord Anglia Education Group.
The education philosophy, curriculum, extra activities, unique programs and faculty of Nord Anglia School Guangzhou were introduced in detail to parents by Ms. Linlin Yang and Dr. Richard A. Swann, National Principal and International Principal of the school. They both expressed the school’s philosophy: “AMBITIOUS”.
Unique Curricula and Professional Teaching
A team of professional and experienced teachers led the students through NAS’s various curricula: English, Mathematics, IT and Arts, all of which adopted a unique blending teaching practice that integrates Eastern and Western education resources and philosophies.
Students also participated in the exciting extra curriculum activities.
There were various on-site activities including the STEAM programme in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The class combined theory with practice and students were particularly attracted by a series of delighting and fun activities in the STEAM area.
Students also had the opportunity to experience Juilliard- Nord Anglia Performing Arts programme. They beat the drums and followed the rhythm of the music world.
Logistic: Safe and Cozy
Additionally, families visited the modern teaching building and cozy boarding area. The new NAS Guangzhou has world-class facilities, with the latest technology and a nurturing environment for students to thrive and excel in.
Students will board in modern, well-lit and spacious rooms with en-suite bathrooms with 4 students sharing a room. Loft beds with desks are designed for senior students, providing private study areas. Shared desks are designed for junior students to encourage them communicate actively. In the future, there will be creatively designed recreational areas, a separate TV lounge, age appropriately designed common rooms as well as private study rooms.
Tea break was provided by the catering service provider, SLETO, an industry leading provider of catering and related ancillary services. Families were delighted to taste the high-quality desserts and drinks.
