Dear parents,
In addition to enjoying the peace and reunion of the Spring Festival, we are also concerned about the epidemic of Novel Coronavirus pneumonia. We would like to pay tribute to all medical practitioners and staff, and to bless and pray for all those who are fighting against the disease in Wuhan, other places in China, and other countries around the world.
在中国多地启动重大突发公共卫生事件一级响应机制之际，诺德安达教育集团CEO Mr. Andrew Fitzmaurice于1月28日第一时间发邮件给所有学校尤其是中国境内的18所国际与双语学校关于如何应对疫情的明确指示。
他在邮件中强调：“我们的学生和同事的安全是最重要的，我们正在密切监测冠状病毒的爆发”，他还给出了根据世界卫生组织的最新资料及国际SOS的医学专家提供的资料而订定的指引，包括所有教师与学生返回中国的安排与中国学校的开学安排。

While the LEVELⅠ(urgent) response of major public health emergencies has been launched in many places in China, the CEO of Nord Anglia Education Group, Mr. Andrew Fitzmaurice, sent emails to all the Nord Anglia schools immediately on January 28, clearly instructing and guiding the 18 international and bilingual schools in China on how to respond to the outbreak of epidemic. He emphasized in his email: “The safety and security of our students and colleagues is paramount and we are closely monitoring the coronavirus outbreak.” He also gave guidelines based on the latest information from the World Health Organization and information provided by medical experts from international SOS, including arrangements for all teachers and students to return to China and school reopen arrangements in China.
诺德安达中国区的CEO 唐健女士则进一步根据中国各省市政府的要求，指导中国各校做好开学准备及开学前教师、家长与学生的沟通。
随后，诺德安达教育集团的教学总监Mr. Andy Puttock于1月31日邮件告知，集团教育团队正共同努力在全球范围内建立对冠状病毒反应的一致性，并随时准备从教育团队的角度出发，以任何方式支持全球各校——在课程连续性、健康和安全、保障和探险、旅行方面，他还提供了两份重要指引文件指导学校做好本次疫情的防控工作。
我们的各姐妹学校正在积极做出响应，如南通诺校正在帮助学生科学利用网络技术开展在线学习，佛山诺校的寄宿团队用多项措施保障师生的健康与安全等。

According to the requirements of Chinese provincial and municipal governments, the CEO of Nord Anglia group in China, the Nord Anglia Education Chairperson, Ms. Jian Tang, further instructed schools in China to prepare for school reopening after February 17 and make sure to implement effective communication with teachers, parents and students before school resumes.
Subsequently, Mr. Andy Puttock, the Education Director of Nord Anglia Education Group, sent an email to us on January 31, informing that the group's education team is working together to establish a consistent response to the coronavirus globally and is ready to support schools around the world in any way from the perspective of the education team - in terms of curriculum continuity, health and safety, security, travel and especially for adventure field trips and travel. He also provided two important guidance documents to guide schools in the prevention and control of this coronavirus outbreak.

Although Nord Anglia School Guangzhou Panyu has not yet started for students and teachers, The leadership and administration have actively responded to the guidance and the call by the Chinese government and Nord Anglia Education Group to implement our response to the epidemic of Novel Coronavirus pneumonia as LEVELⅠ(Urgent). Based upon our unified leadership, timely response, measures decisive, scientific and effective principles, we have formulated the corresponding "New Pneumonia Prevention and Control Plan". We now share with you the main content of the emergency management plan. We are together to fight against the epidemic.
防控物资准备
Preparation for Prevention and Control Materials
紧急订购足够数量的医用口罩（包括成人与学生版）；
订购足够数量的额温枪，确保每个员工、工人与访客进校都经过测体温流程；
订购足够数量的75度酒精喷洒剂、1:400的84消毒剂，紫外线消毒仪器；
订购足够数量的一次性医用手套、酒精杀菌洗手液等防护用品；
做好各项防疫物资的库存管理，及时补充。

Urgently ordered a sufficient number of medical masks (including adult and student size) .
• Ordered a sufficient number of forehead temperature detector guns to ensure that each employee, worker, and visitor will go through the temperature detecting process when entering the school.
• Ordered a sufficient number of alcohol sprays (75% alcohol), 84 disinfectants in 1: 400, UV disinfection instruments.
• Ordered a sufficient number of disposable medical grade gloves, alcohol germicidal hand sanitizer and other protective supplies.
• We will maintain good inventory management of various anti-epidemic materials and make timely replenishment.
日常消毒工作

除常规清洁、清毒、通风、开启新风系统、对室内教具及桌椅进行彻底消毒外，
全校开放区域配置酒精洗手液以供全校人员及时消毒双手；
清洁职员在疫情期间严格加强清洁通风和消毒措施并做好登记；
严格做好高频使用区域如电梯的消毒工作，并做好记录。

In addition to routine cleaning, infection, ventilation, keeping the fresh air system on, and thorough disinfection of indoor teaching aids, tables and chairs, extra actions are carried out as below:
• Alcohol-based hand sanitizers are deployed in the entire school's open areas for the school staff to disinfect their hands in a timely manner;
• Cleaning staff strictly strengthened cleaning, ventilation and disinfection measures during the epidemic and keeping cleaning records accordingly;
• Strictly perform disinfection in high frequency use areas such as elevators and keep records accordingly.
人员防控措施
Personnel Prevention and Control Measures
疫情期间，取消校园开放日活动，如需了解招生入学安排，请致电或微信联系招生老师。
所有人员入校前必须佩戴口罩（医用或N95）；
教职员工工作期间需全程佩戴口罩；
所有人员入校前需按要求用酒精洗手液洗手；
所有人员入校前必须测量体温并做好登记，下午还需进行第二次体温检测并登记；
提前做好教职员工与施工人员春节旅行轨迹调查，严格执行外地返穗人员14天自我观察与隔离要求；
加强施工方人员管理，严格按照《诺德安达教育集团在建项目新型冠状病毒肺炎防控暂行办法》进行，除以上要求外还需每日统计与上报工人健康情况，同时施工人员不得进入工程完成区域。

• During the epidemic period, campus open day activities are cancelled. For admission inquiries or enrollment arrangements, please contact the admission teachers by phone or WeChat.
• All personnel must wear a mask (either medical grade or N95 mask) before entering school.
• All faculty and staff are required to wear masks throughout the working hours.
• All personnel are required to wash their hands with alcoholic hand sanitizer before entering the school.
• All personnel must take a temperature detection and register before entering the school, and a second temperature detection and registration are required in the afternoon.
• Keep tracking and make a travel survey of the faculty and construction workers during the Spring Festival, and strictly implement the 14-day self-observation and quarantine requirements after returning to Guangzhou from other cities.
• Strengthen the management of construction workers according to “Interim Measures for the Prevention and Control of Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia of Nord Anglia Education Group". In addition to the above requirements, workers' health condition needs to be checked and reported daily. At the same time, construction workers are not allowed to enter the project completion areas.

预防新型肺炎温馨提示
及时佩戴口罩，避免与有感冒或流感症状的人密切接触，咳嗽与打喷嚏时，用纸巾或屈肘遮住口鼻；避免在未洗手的情况下，触摸眼、鼻、口；
新型肺炎会出现人传人的现象，远离人群是有效预防措施；
要及时用杀菌或酒精洗手液洗手：在咳嗽或打喷嚏后，在照顾病人时，在制作食品前后，饭前便后，手脏时，处理动物或动物排泄物后，外出返家后等；
确保食品安全，如家长需到生鲜市场采购，在接触动物和动物产品后，请洗手；处理生食和熟食要分开刀具与砧板；肉食要予以彻底烹饪与妥善处理。
避免在未加防护的情况下接触野生或养殖动物；

• To ensure food safety. If parents need to go to the fresh market, make sure to wash their hands after touching animals and animal products. Handle raw and cooked food separately from knives and cutting boards. Meat must be cooked thoroughly and properly.
