We held the first flag-raising ceremony in the new semester. Saluting the national flag, we will keep the passion for the homeland and overlook the world.

Our National and International Principals Ms. Lin Lin Yang and Dr. Richard Swann made a speech under the flag.

Principals’ Speech in the Flag Raising Ceremony

欢迎参加广州市番禺区诺德安达学校的第一次升旗仪式。

这是又一个特殊的日子，全体学生、教师和教职工第一次真正聚集在一起，共同开启新学校新征途的第一天。

每周举行的升旗仪式，同样意义深远，因为我们希望通过每周一次的升旗仪式，提醒我们在场的每个人，在这个学习社区里应该持有的价值观。

对于来自中国的所有孩子和成年人来说，升旗仪式尤其重要，因为它提醒我们，我们是谁，我们来自哪里，以及我们需要坚持的共同价值观，冒险精神和学习精神的重要性。

而对这个校园来自其他许多国家和地区的人们来说，这是一个具有象征性的姿态，这既是东道国的特别仪式，也是大家对国际精神、国际思想、共同价值观，相互尊重的表现。

感谢你们每一个人，从一年级到八年级的全体学生，循循善诱、任劳任怨的优秀中外教师和教职工团队，未来的每一天，你们都将为我们学校带来的新的传奇与故事，今天我们一起开始全新的经历，期待每一位同学在学习和理解周围世界的过程中，获得弥足珍贵的学习体验与健康成长。

Welcome to our first Flag Raising ceremony at Nord Anglia School Guangzhou, Panyu.

This is a special day for coming together for the first time as our learning community of students, teachers and staff.

This ceremony each week is presented as a reminder to each of us about the values we hold as a community.

For children and adults from China, it is especially significant, because it reminds us of the who we are, where we are from, and the importance we place in upholding our shared values, and the spirit of adventure and learning.

For those of us who come from many other different places, it is a symbolic gesture in the celebration for our host country and the spirit of international endeavor, international mindedness and the respect we each hold in recognition of our shared values.

Thank you to each of you for what you will bring each day to our school, and as we begin this new opportunity and experience together, we look forward to our students growing in their learning and understanding of the world around us.

First Class of the New Semester

开学第一课，老师们强调“安全”为校园的重中之重。孩子们在老师的带领下演练逃生路线，熟悉校园的各类急救设施。

In the first class of the new semester, our teachers emphasize that “Security” is most important in our campus. Under the guidance of teachers, the children practiced escape routes and got familiar with first-aid facilities in the campus.
