我校学子斩获2020年美国数学思维挑战大奖 | Congratulations to our students

2020年美国数学思维挑战（AMC 8）于11月举行，本届比赛奖项昨日公布，广州市番禺区诺德安达学校斩获全球优秀奖Honor Roll 1枚，全球小学组荣誉奖Achievement Roll 1枚；中国赛区，有2名同学获得中国赛区二等奖，6名同学获得中国赛区三等奖。

The 2020 American Mathematical Competition (AMC 8) was held in November and the results were announced yesterday. One of our students won Global Excellence Award Honor Roll and another won Global Elementary School Award Achievement Roll. In National Competition Area, 2 students won Distinction Award, and 6 students won Merit Award.

美国数学竞赛（AMC）由美国数学协会主办（MAA），起源于1950年，目前每年全球超过30 个国家与地区6000 所学校30 万名同学参赛，是全球最有影响力的青少年数学竞赛之一。美国数学竞赛（AMC）包括了AMC8、AMC10/12、AIME、USAMO\USAJMO，其中AMC8 每年11月份举行，主要面向8 年级（初二）及以下的初中和小学高年级学生。

Hosted by American Mathematical Association,the first American Mathematics Competition (AMC) was held in 1950. At present, 300,000 students from 6000 schools in over 30 countries and areas participate in the competition every year. It is one of the most influential youth math competitions in the world.The AMC includes AMC8, AMC10/12, AIME, USAMO\USAJMO, of which AMC8 is held in November every year, mainly for middle school and elementary school students of 8th grade (second year) and below.
