I don't mean to brag, but I received a masters degree in Trash-Talking. Now to achieve this honor, you must learn how to use metaphors. It is the highest level of insulting a person. You know what i mean ? Ahem ! All jokes aside and excuse my British accent. I know it sucks, but I just had to try it. So a metaphor is a figure of speech that is used to make a comparison between two things that aren't alike but do have something in common. A metaphor is very expressive; it is not meant to be taken literally. You may have to work a little to find the meaning in a metaphor. Metaphors can be very helpful for those who are learning the meaning of specific words because they provide a more visual description of the word or thought，or you can use a metaphor to trash talk someone like I said earlier.
