The intro

(Listening Comprehension)

Hey, what's up ? It's Mr.Wong here. If I had a time machine, I wouldn't travel to the future, instead I would travel back to when I was 17, and punch myself in the face as hard as I can. Let me tell you why - so I got my driver's license when I was 17, and when you're 17 with a driver's license, you think you're better than everyone else. You think life is like the movie The Fast and the Furious. You want to live life on the edge of your seat. So I was on the freeway in my mom's mini van going almost 90 miles an hour, that's about 145 kilometers an hour. Just flying through traffic like nothing. I was so dumb that I thought the cars I passed were like, "Oh shit ! This guy's a beast ! He's doing 90 on a freaking mini van !" I felt proud of myself for a moment there. Like I said I was a dumb teenager, little did I know, Highway Patrol was chasing me. I got pulled over and he gave me a ticket. If you're listening, speeding is dangerous thing to do, not only you are putting yourself in danger but also everyone else around you on the road. Please obey the speed limit, and pay attention to your surroundings. So after I got the ticket, I was worried that it would go on my record, and the insurance will go up. But luckily, there is a way to get it off the record, and that is to go to traffic school. If you get a speeding ticket in California, you can dismiss it by going to traffic school for a day but you still have to pay for the ticket, which cost me almost 500 dollars damn ! You are only eligible to go to traffic school if you haven't received a ticket within 18 months. So don't think that everytime you get a ticket you can just go to traffic school to get it off your record. It doesn't work that way, but I learned my lesson - safety first. Okay,so today's phrase of the day is "off the record". Check it out !
