闲时吃紧，忙里悠闲

Urgency in leisure, Leisure in toil.

天地像是寂然不动，

但气候变化从不停息。

Heaven and earth seem serene and still,

though the seasons rest not for an instant.

日夜不停地交替，

但日月的光明，却万古不变。

The sun and moon course along,

though their brightness has always been constant.

所以，

君子闲时应居安思危。

So a gentleman in leisure

should keep urgent thoughts.

忙时应忙里悠闲。

And a leisurely humor when busy.

人要效法天地，

不变中有变，变中有不变。

平时心中不过于松懈，

临事内心不可浮躁。

We should emulate nature,

changing amid the changes.

In leisure, the mind shouldn't

be too relaxed, and in urgency,

we shouldn't be too tense.
