此生为何？

What a look at people

around you ?

看看周围，

很多人都是满怀着

对生活的热情筹划，

突然间离开这个世界的。

Many of them had enthusiastic

expectations for life but

died unexpectedly.

你没有理由相信自己

一定比这些人更幸运。

And you have no reason to

believe that you will

 luckier than them.

藏族人常说：

明天或来世谁先来到，

我们并不清楚。

As a Tibetan saying goes:

Tomorrow or the next life,

we never know which one

will come first.

如果死亡就是一切的终结，

活着又是什么？

If death is the end of

everything, what do we

ultimately make out of life then?

如果吃喝享受、纠结辛劳，

最后只为烟消云散，

这样的人生

想想都让人心酸，不是么？

If life just evaporates into

thin air after all we have tried,

is such an existence not

disheartening?
