能施予人们赏罚的神！

Buddha is not a shiny, golden

god in heaven who metes out

reward and punishment!

佛陀在《金刚经》中说得明白：

若以色见我，以音声求我，

是人行邪道，不能见如来。

Buddha has made it very clear

in the Diamond Sutra:

If you want to see me through

sights or seek me through

sounds, you would go astray

and cannot see Tathagatha.

如果把佛当成神，学佛、拜佛

为的是有所求，那么

便是走错了路，抵达不了

寂静智慧的彼岸。

If you see Buddha as a god and

want something from your

study of Buddhism and

worship of Buddha, you would

be following a wrong path that

won't lead to the realm

of serenity and wisdom.
