作家马郁于重庆一档电台读书节目中朗读了其小说《烟酒茶糖故事集》的内容，苏云在出租车上听到广播传来的故事。
那时，还是落魄写手马郁，到重庆约自己高中时期的女友苏云见面。随着谈话的进展，苏云得知了马郁在广州酒后误杀楼凤阿英并惊险逃窜等事。而后，苏云袒露心扉，坦诚自己做了民营老板康丰茂的小三。散席后马郁辗转反侧，决定跟踪苏云，一窥其生活的究竟，他目睹了苏云可怜的生活。情浓之下，两人云雨之后，马郁说起高中的誓言，决定为苏云要回名份。翌日马郁持刀进了康丰茂办公室，缠斗中得知了苏云的真面目，震惊之余不慎被康丰茂捅死，临死之际在电视上得知阿英案真正的凶手另有其人。
