A：是的，此次竞赛就第一季难度有所调整，选手设计的图案需要满足三种伞型的排布剪裁。（直径2.5m的圆形伞面；直径3m的圆形伞面；边长2.5m*2.5m的方形伞面）
A: Yes. This competition has increased the difficulty, that is to say, the patterns designed by entrants should consider the differences among the layouts of three sunshade surfaces. (Namely, sunshade surface with a diameter of 2.5 meters, sunshade surface with a diameter of 3 meters, and square sunshade surface with a side length of 2.5 meters.)
Q：此次设计的遮阳伞面图案需要适用于三种伞型的话，怎样的图案是比较容易实现的？
Q: What kind of pattern is more practicable to satisfy the needs of three different types of sunshades?
A：由于三种伞型的尺寸及裁切方式不同，建议选择可重复且单元较小的图案。
A: Repeatable patterns with smaller elements are recommended because of different sizes and dissimilar cutting and collage processes.
Q：为什么我在制作伞面俯视图时按照单元三角形拼接无法拼成一个完整的伞面？
Q: Why the triangle units cannot match up to a complete sunshade surface when I make surface top view?
A：在使用我们所给到的单元三角形进行拼接时，需要注意的是伞面在撑开时应为有角度的拱形，所以在平面呈现时有缺口是正常的。
A: Please take into account the arch of actual sunshade, which is different from the graphic version. It is natural to leave a gap when you join the triangle units together.

Q：请问颜色标注选哪种格式呢？CMYK印刷色，还是PANTONE色？
Q: Which color format should I use to mark, CMYK or PANTONE?
A：每个颜色是不用标注的，Sunbrella®美国织造团队会根据色线进行相应的调整和匹配。
A: You do not need to mark the color, because the US-based professional team of Sunbrella® will make appropriate adjustments according to different color schemes applied in contestants’ works, and match them with corresponding yarns.
Q：请问做伞面俯视图的时候考虑多少缝制的余量呢？
Q: When I make surface top view, what’s the appropriate seam allowance?
A：任务书中所给到的三角单元尺寸为净尺寸，同时需各放出10mm宽的拼缝。
A: We have provided the net sizes of triangle units in the design requirements, please take notice of the seam which is 10 mm in width.

Q：设计效果图最终呈现的形式是否要严格按照任务书中所给到的效果图示意来呈现？
Q: Should I present my scheme strictly in the format of the diagrams in the requirements?
A：最后作品所提交的内容需按照任务书的要求，包括伞面所有设计，（1）repeat图案单元图、（2）门幅织物的整体图、（3）裁剪排布、（4）伞面俯视图和（5）伞面全景正视图。这些元素的呈现形式可由选手自由发挥。
A: Please only ensure that your submission includes the pattern design drawings of all the three types, namely, repeat pattern unit drawing, overall drawing of fabrics, pattern layout drawings, surface top view, and panoramic front view of the sunshade. And you are free to decide how to present it.

Q：有没有可能在一个伞面单元上不使用花纹单元图循环，使用单一个比较大的图案呢？
Q: Is it workable to design a larger but single pattern rather than a repeat pattern on one triangle unit?
A：由于此次竞赛是需要设计出适用于三种伞型的布料，在做单一图案的设计时需要考虑到在三种尺寸伞面上图案的不同排布与重复情况，所以建议从裁剪排版的角度多多考虑。
A: Your first priority is to assume different situations of configuration and repetition on three types of sunshade surfaces with disparate sizes. Therefore, we advise you to think over from the perspective of the cutting and collage process.

Q：提花织造能实现例如颜色的渐变，杂色之类的吗？
Q: Does the jacquard weaving have the ability to achieve color gradient or multi-color effect?
A：提花织造可以实现一些渐变色，但是织造成本会比较高，技术也较难一些，且颜色的增加会对布料的厚度产生很大影响，因此一般提花布的颜色不会超过三种，即使做出渐变也很难达到印花一样的丰富效果。
A: Even though it is able to perform color gradient, the corresponding cost will rise because we need to use multiple layers in the fabric to show various colors through complicated techniques. Given that, we have to impose limitations on the amount of layers (no more than three), yet the offering will not look exactly the same as the graphic version which has rich color gradient.
Q：这次竞赛对设计理念的要求是表现什么？比如鲜艳对比色是不是太花哨，是不是暗色遮挡阳光的效果更好？
Q: What are the design principles in this competition? Will it be too showy to choose bright colors, or contrast colors? Will it be better to adopt dark colors with the aim of shielding against sunshine?
A：本次竞赛的主要设计理念是为了鼓励环保的同时追求更高的品质，让人们能够健康的沐浴在户外阳光中。大家可以根据“走出室内，享受自然”的主要理念自由发挥，同时也需要考虑到以下四点：
- 对命题的解读和对品牌Sunbrella®品牌文化和产品工艺的深刻解读；
- 考虑实用性与城市场景中的艺术性；
- 设计的同时考虑材料与工艺成本，使作品本身具有可实现性；
- 设计作品必需能同时经过裁剪应用于以上三种伞型。
由于Sunbrella®布料具体较高的品质与功能性，潮流色彩与优越性能兼备。所以在选择颜色的时候不要有太多顾虑，可以根据设计理念来进行配色设计。

A：此次竞赛采用报名号评选，同一选手如要提交两份作品需在官网注册（www.youngbird.com.cn）两个不同的报名号分别提交。
A: The registration number will represent the submission in the evaluation procedure. If you want to submit two entries, please apply for two different registration numbers on the official website: www.youngbird.com.cn.
Q：作品上传后还能进行修改吗？
Q: Can I revise my submission after uploading it?
A：我们会在竞赛发布后的每个月月底进行一次作品审核，在审核前可以进行作品修改和替换。一旦审核通过后，作品将不能再进行修改。
A: We will review the submissions at the end of every month after launching this competition, and you can revise or re-upload your entries before our scheduled time. Once we have confirmed your submission(s), you cannot revise anymore.
Q：此次竞赛的奖项设置中有什么需要注意的地方吗？
Q: What should I know more about the awards of this competition?
A：需要注意的是，本次奖项中的奖金部分均为税前金额。竞赛主办方将根据国家税法规定为获奖选手代缴中国境内个人所得税。
