据介绍，南八虎山上有一片“空中草原”，从远处看，绿色的山脊犹如滑梯一般。这里山势虽然平缓，但是坡度并不小，所以当地人叫它“瞪眼量”，爬不上去的，只能瞪着眼睛往上量。
