“春季时，东北虎皮毛较薄。最近，开始逐渐长出厚实的冬毛了。游客如果看过夏季的东北虎，会发现它们与之前有明显不同。”动管部副部长王靖元介绍，东北虎怕热，夏天大多时间趴着休息，天气寒冷时却十分活跃，因此冬季正是观赏东北虎的好时机。
"In spring, the fur of Siberian tigers is thin. Recently, thick winter fur has begun to grow. If visitors have seen Siberian tigers in summer, they will find that the tigers are obviously different from in winter."
Wang Jingyuan, vice director of animal management department, introduces that Siberian tigers are afraid of heat and they spend most of their time lying on their stomachs in summer, but they are very active in cold weather. Therefore, winter is a good time to watch Siberian tigers.
▶ 棕熊食量增，体型变大Brown bears eat more and become bigger
入冬之前，棕熊会长出厚厚的毛来抵御寒冷，因此看起来体型很大、十分壮硕。自然条件下的棕熊会冬眠，但生活在动物园的棕熊因为食物充足，并不需要冬眠，反倒会因为下雪而兴奋。
Before winter, brown bears will grow thick fur to resist the cold, so they look very big and strong.
Brown bears in natural conditions will hibernate, but brown bears in zoos do not need to hibernate because of sufficient food. Instead, they are excited by the snow.
▶ 食草动物换上“伪装衣”Herbivores put on "camouflage clothes"
除了东北虎、棕熊等体型较大的动物，梅花鹿、狍子等食草动物外形也会在冬季发生变化。例如，梅花鹿在冬季时身上原本的白色斑点变成类似枯草的颜色，这是它为了防止被肉食动物捕获而生出的“伪装色”。
In addition to large animals such as Siberian tigers and brown bears, the shape of herbivores such as sika deer and roe deer will change in winter.
For example, in winter, the original white spots on the sika deer will become similar to the color of withered grass, which is the "camouflage color" to prevent being captured by predators.
