Location：Beijing
The Chemistry group of Wiley is offering a Trainee position based in our Beijing office for our internationally-renowned chemistry journals and Science Solutions businesses. You will gain on-the-job experience in many different aspects of publishing, such as the acquisition and development of journal content, peer-review procedures, and contact with authors and referees from all over the world.
You will also work as a product expert for our Science Solutions products, including ChemPlanner, Wiley’s new machine learning-based reaction route prediction tool. You will provide sales support, and conduct training and solution demonstration for clients. You will also support marketing by creating and localizing content, including white papers, documentation and training videos.
Applicants for the position should have a broad interest in natural product synthesis, medicinal chemistry, organic synthetic methodology, with a PhD in organic chemistry. He/she should be self-motivated, have excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal), be diplomatic, flexible, and familiar with text and graphics computer applications. The applicants must be fluent in Chinese and have an excellent command of the English language. International postdoctoral experience and/or previous publishing experience would be advantageous.
The position will be based in Beijing. The successful candidate will be trained in our Beijing office, but may spend some time at our Wiley-VCH offices in Weinheim.
