This forum was organized in partnership with the Tsinghua Vanke School of Public Health and the Tsinghua Institute for a Healthy China.

Renowned scholars, representatives from international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and experts from various think tanks came together for this event. They aimed to collectively gather insights from past pandemic management experiences, discuss strategies for improving global public health systems, and explore ways to provide robust technological support for the well-being of humanity.

Tsinghua University President Wang Xiqin emphasized the university's pivotal role in cultivating talent, advancing technological innovation, and promoting international cooperation to prepare for potential major risks. Margaret Chan, chairperson of the World Health Forum and founding dean of the Tsinghua Vanke School of Public Health, highlighted the significance of evaluating past pandemic responses and challenges. Lei Haichao, vice minister of the National Health Commission, underscored the importance of building a robust public health system. He emphasized the integration of medical treatment with preventive measures and improved coordination between disease prevention and control departments and communities.

They engaged in comprehensive discussions on a wide range of critical topics, including pandemic response measures implemented by different countries, strategies for international cooperation, and innovative health approaches.
