提升“英文言值”从这开始
9月初，在伦敦举行的2018年GQ年度人物颁奖典礼上，英国王位万年备胎查尔斯王储喜获男士时尚杂志GQ年度人物终身成就奖！
威尔士亲王在泰特现代博物馆(Tate Modern museum)的舞台上发表感言时，平时看上去严肃不苟言笑的他却一改常态，开启段子手模式，各种插科打诨停不下来！
"终身成就奖? 这莫不是我的讣告？" 他还调侃说：“当我第一次听到这个奖项的时候，我想这一定是个错误，这是一个时尚奖。对于时尚，我就像一只停了的钟——我每隔25年就时尚一次罢了。”
查尔斯王子还取笑自己的着装选择，还拿自己晚上的打扮开玩笑。不过，开玩笑归开玩笑，面对GQ对自己在慈善方面的表彰，威尔士亲王还是很严肃了，他谈到了通过自己的慈善事业帮助他人的“满足感”。
“你可以想象，没有什么比看到你能给这么多年轻人的生活带来改变更令人满意的了。如果你能给他们提供一个机会，帮助他们建立自信和自尊，他们的生活就会突然改变。”

For some reason I've been say a few words of this August gathering here.
First of all, I really want to apologise for being wrongly dressed. Really, I feared that none of you would really be able to compete with my incredibly snazzy dinner jacket.
And I'm hugely grateful to To Dylan for letting me have a little bit of a preview of my a bit of my obturary,it it really is well worthwhile.
When I was first told of GQ magazine’s wish to give me a Man of the Year award, I felt sure there must have been some kind of mistake and must be an ill-conceived fashion award - particularly as, in fashion terms, I am like a stopped clock. In other words, I’m fashionable every 25 years.
Instead I learned that was for freelancers.It really is incredibly kind of you for GQ magazine to do this and I'm hugely grateful.
But all I can say is that it wasn't easy at the start, when trying to set up these charities and organizations and raise money.
And like the anonymous poem.They said that it could not be done with laugh, he went right to it. He tackled the thing that couldn't be done and couldn't do it.
After which I recall that great maxim of Ogden Nash. "If at first you don't succeed the hell with it."
So In fact I went on trying, though spending money on worthwhile projects is is is relatively easy as you can imagine.
Raising it or making it is of course a great deal harder.Hence,my attempts to do little marketing with Dutch originals this food company organic food company, I started twenty six years ago,And that is enabled me over the years is nothing more satisfying than seeing the difference you can make.
To save many young people's lives who have had difficulties and shoes disadvantages of had unbelievably complicated lives.
If you can actually provide them with an opportunity,help them to develop confidence ,above all self confidence and self esteem,suddenly their lives can be transformed.
And they can learn new skills which is what we try to do the prince's trust and all sorts of others of by charities.
So above all else I am enormously grateful to so many of the wonderfully generous people who have enabled me to set up a whole range of charities, some of which are now my main ones under the umbrella my prince's foundation.
Without these wonderfully generous people.Corporations individuals goodness knows who.We would not have been able to do this.
And all I can say is we are incredibly lucky in this country to have seventy people like that.Who can make such a fantastic difference in so many areas of life.
And from that point of view,it gives me the enormous pride just to see somebody like Idris Elba and other people we've started over the is in the in their lives and careers the difference that is made to them.
Elizabeth and I'm enormously grateful for the fact that you've decided to give me this award.
And I can see it's something I can throw the burglar when it comes in thank you very much to all of you.
