事实上，中国诗词文化早已走上了国际——
比如1984年，美国总统里根访华，在欢迎晚宴上，他举杯脱口而出：
“ Althoughwere side in far corners of the world,
having a good friend is akin to having agood neighbor.”
这句就是唐代著名诗人王勃的“海内存知已，天涯若比邻”。
再如1989年，美国总统老布什访华，曾提到乘船经过三峡的经历时说：
“the monkeys who screamed from，
the two sides without stopping.”
这一句是李白的“轻舟已过万重山”，暗示中美关系将冲破重重阻力，破浪前行。
中国古典文学中，最优秀的作品莫过于唐诗，而英语又是世界上使用范围最广的语言。
我们读英译唐诗，在品味中国与西方文化碰撞交流的韵味美，同时更有助于提高自身英文水平。

DRINKING ALONE UNDER THE MOON

李商隐（813-858）
相见时难别亦难，东风无力百花残。

THE ORNATE ZITHER
