Wellington Ranks High on Hurun's Top International Schools List
This month, as part of its annual International School Forum, Hurun Education hosted an awards ceremony for the schools that were ranked on its 2020 Top International Schools list. We are honoured to announce that this list ranks both Wellington College Tianjin and Wellington College International Shanghai as top international schools in China.
Mr Julian Jeffrey, the Master of Wellington College Tianjin, receives the award from Mr Rupert Hoogewerf on behalf of the College at the awards ceremony
Launched in 2017, the Hurun Education Top International Schools provides discerning parents with an overview of international education institutions in China. It is one of the country's most trusted voices when it comes to ranking international schools on quality of education and value for money.
Wellington College Tianjin
#1 in regional ranking
#33 in national ranking
The only international school in Tianjin to rank in China's top 100
In 2009, Wellington College China and Wellington College in England launched a strategic partnership, which led to the founding Wellington College Tianjin in 2011. Wellington College Tianjin is the first school established by Wellington College China and the first-ever Wellington College overseas.
Wellington College Tianjin was originally established as an international school, providing education to children with foreign citizenship only. In 2014, the College opened its British high school programme to local pupils with Wellington College Bilingual Tianjin A Level Centre. 2017 marked another milestone with the founding of Wellington College Bilingual Tianjin Nursery. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our outstanding team, Wellington College Tianjin has achieved great accomplishments since its founding nine years ago. Every year, more and more of our pupils get accepted at the world's top-ranked universities.
Wellington College International Shanghai
#5 in regional ranking
#13 in national ranking
Founded in 2014, Wellington College International Shanghai offers programmes for international pupils aged between 3-18 years old. The College uses the English National Curriculum alongside the International Primary Curriculum in its Prep School while Senior School pupils will study IGCSE or IBDP.
Despite the challenges we have all faced this year, our pupils in Tianjin and Shanghai have received a total of nearly 200 offers from several world-renowned universities, nearly 40% of which rank in the world's top 10.
Wellington College China remains committed to our vision to provide our pupils with quality holistic education. Once again, we would like to extend our congratulations to our high achievers in Tianjin and Shanghai.
May our pursuit of excellence continue to lead us as we stride forward with confidence and pride!
