【DEUTERONOMY 12】申命记
惟一的敬拜场所
1 “你们存活于世的日子，在耶和华你们列祖的 神所赐你们为业的地上，要谨守遵行的律例、典章乃是这些：
These are the decrees and laws you must be careful to follow in the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess--as long as you live in the land.
2 你们要将所赶出的国民侍奉神的各地方，无论是在高山、在小山、在各青翠树下，都毁坏了。
Destroy completely all the places on the high mountains and on the hills and under every spreading tree where the nations you are dispossessing worship their gods.
3 也要拆毁他们的祭坛，打碎他们的柱像，用火焚烧他们的木偶，砍下他们雕刻的神像，并将其名从那地方除灭。
Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and burn their Asherah poles in the fire; cut down the idols of their gods and wipe out their names from those places.
4 你们不可照他们那样侍奉耶和华你们的 神。
You must not worship the LORD your God in their way.
5 但耶和华你们的 神从你们各支派中，选择何处为立他名的居所，你们就当往那里去求问，
But you are to seek the place the LORD your God will choose from among all your tribes to put his Name there for his dwelling. To that place you must go;
6 将你们的燔祭、平安祭，十分取一之物，和手中的举祭，并还愿祭、甘心祭，以及牛群羊群中头生的，都奉到那里。
there bring your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, what you have vowed to give and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks.
7 在那里，耶和华你们 神的面前，你们和你们的家属都可以吃，并且因你手所办的一切事蒙耶和华你的 神赐福，就都欢乐。
There, in the presence of the LORD your God, you and your families shall eat and shall rejoice in everything you have put your hand to, because the LORD your God has blessed you.
8 我们今日在这里所行的，是各人行自己眼中看为正的事，你们将来不可这样行，
You are not to do as we do here today, everyone as he sees fit,
9 因为你们还没有到耶和华你 神所赐你的安息地，所给你的产业。
since you have not yet reached the resting place and the inheritance the LORD your God is giving you.
10 但你们过了约旦河，得以住在耶和华你们 神使你们承受为业之地，又使你们太平，不被四围的一切仇敌扰乱，安然居住。
But you will cross the Jordan and settle in the land the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, and he will give you rest from all your enemies around you so that you will live in safety.
11 那时要将我所吩咐你们的燔祭、平安祭，十分取一之物，和手中的举祭，并向耶和华许愿献的一切美祭，都奉到耶和华你们 神所选择要立为他名的居所。
Then to the place the LORD your God will choose as a dwelling for his Name--there you are to bring everything I command you: your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, and all the choice possessions you have vowed to the LORD.
12 你们和儿女、仆婢，并住在你们城里无份无业的利未人，都要在耶和华你们的 神面前欢乐。
And there rejoice before the LORD your God, you, your sons and daughters, your menservants and maidservants, and the Levites from your towns, who have no allotment or inheritance of their own.
13 你要谨慎，不可在你所看中的各处献燔祭。
Be careful not to sacrifice your burnt offerings anywhere you please.
14 惟独耶和华从你那一支派中所选择的地方，你就要在那里献燔祭，行我一切所吩咐你的。”
Offer them only at the place the LORD will choose in one of your tribes, and there observe everything I command you.
15 “然而，在你各城里都可以照耶和华你 神所赐你的福分，随心所欲宰牲吃肉，无论洁净人、不洁净人都可以吃，就如吃羚羊与鹿一般。
Nevertheless, you may slaughter your animals in any of your towns and eat as much of the meat as you want, as if it were gazelle or deer, according to the blessing the LORD your God gives you. Both the ceremonially unclean and the clean may eat it.
16 只是不可吃血，要倒在地上，如同倒水一样。
But you must not eat the blood; pour it out on the ground like water.
17 你的五谷、新酒，和油的十分之一，或是牛群羊群中头生的，或是你许愿献的、甘心献的，或是手中的举祭，都不可在你城里吃，
You must not eat in your own towns the tithe of your grain and new wine and oil, or the firstborn of your herds and flocks, or whatever you have vowed to give, or your freewill offerings or special gifts.
18 但要在耶和华你的 神面前吃，在耶和华你 神所要选择的地方，你和儿女、仆婢，并住在你城里的利未人，都可以吃。也要因你手所办的，在耶和华你 神面前欢乐。
Instead, you are to eat them in the presence of the LORD your God at the place the LORD your God will choose--you, your sons and daughters, your menservants and maidservants, and the Levites from your towns--and you are to rejoice before the LORD your God in everything you put your hand to.
19 你要谨慎，在你所住的地方，永不可丢弃利未人。”
Be careful not to neglect the Levites as long as you live in your land.
20 “耶和华你的 神照他所应许，扩张你境界的时候，你心里想要吃肉，说：‘我要吃肉。’就可以随心所欲地吃肉。
When the LORD your God has enlarged your territory as he promised you, and you crave meat and say, "I would like some meat," then you may eat as much of it as you want.
21 耶和华你 神所选择要立他名的地方若离你太远，就可以照我所吩咐的，将耶和华赐给你的牛羊取些宰了，可以随心所欲在你城里吃。
If the place where the LORD your God chooses to put his Name is too far away from you, you may slaughter animals from the herds and flocks the LORD has given you, as I have commanded you, and in your own towns you may eat as much of them as you want.
22 你吃那肉，要像吃羚羊与鹿一般，无论洁净人、不洁净人都可以吃。
Eat them as you would gazelle or deer. Both the ceremonially unclean and the clean may eat.
23 只是你要心意坚定不可吃血，因为血是生命，不可将血（原文作“生命”）与肉同吃。
But be sure you do not eat the blood, because the blood is the life, and you must not eat the life with the meat.
24 不可吃血，要倒在地上，如同倒水一样。
You must not eat the blood; pour it out on the ground like water.
25 不可吃血。这样，你行耶和华眼中看为正的事，你和你的子孙就可以得福。
Do not eat it, so that it may go well with you and your children after you, because you will be doing what is right in the eyes of the LORD.
26 只是你分别为圣的物和你的还愿祭，要奉到耶和华所选择的地方去。
But take your consecrated things and whatever you have vowed to give, and go to the place the LORD will choose.
27 你的燔祭，连肉带血，都要献在耶和华你 神的坛上。平安祭的血要倒在耶和华你 神的坛上；平安祭的肉，你自己可以吃。
Present your burnt offerings on the altar of the LORD your God, both the meat and the blood. The blood of your sacrifices must be poured beside the altar of the LORD your God, but you may eat the meat.
28 你要谨守听从我所吩咐的一切话，行耶和华你 神眼中看为善、看为正的事，这样，你和你的子孙就可以永远享福。”
Be careful to obey all these regulations I am giving you, so that it may always go well with you and your children after you, because you will be doing what is good and right in the eyes of the LORD your God.
警告不可拜偶像
29 “耶和华你 神将你要去赶出的国民从你面前剪除，你得了他们的地居住。
The LORD your God will cut off before you the nations you are about to invade and dispossess. But when you have driven them out and settled in their land,
30 那时就要谨慎，不可在他们除灭之后，随从他们的恶俗，陷入网罗，也不可访问他们的神，说：‘这些国民怎样侍奉他们的神，我也要照样行。’
and after they have been destroyed before you, be careful not to be ensnared by inquiring about their gods, saying, "How do these nations serve their gods? We will do the same."
31 你不可向耶和华你的 神这样行，因为他们向他们的神行了耶和华所憎嫌、所恨恶的一切事，甚至将自己的儿女用火焚烧，献与他们的神。
You must not worship the LORD your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the LORD hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods.
32 凡我所吩咐的，你们都要谨守遵行，不可加添，也不可删减。”
See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away from it.

参纲要。这法规的头一部分是管理宗教生活的条例，因此也是头四诫在细则上的应用。
1. 12章与第一诫和13章与第二诫有什么关系？
2. 13章的规条如何显示神的旨意比所宣称的「效果」，比敬重人，比血亲，比大多数人都应居于更优先的地位呢？比较可13：22；加1：8；2：11；路14：26；徒4：19，20。
注：
设立一个圣所，使一切祭牲都必须带到圣所来，这个规定乃是防止人到迦南古庙去拜偶像的一种措施，比较王下17：10-12。
