1. look like
① He looks like a girl.
看起来像；与…相似
② It looks like rain.
看来要；好像要
2. look for
① He began to look for a new job？
寻找，寻求
② You're looking for trouble if you don't pay your taxes.
招惹(常用于 look for trouble 中)
3. look out
① Look out! There's car coming.
留神；当心；警惕；注意
② He looked out some books for his friend.
挑选出
③ My window looks out into a street.
(房间等)面向，面对(常与 into， on， upon 等连用)
4. look after
① I will look after her child when she is on a business trip.
照顾；照料
② They looked after the train as it moved out.
目送；从后面盯着；眼睛盯着
③ He only looks after his own interests.
关注；为…操心
5. look forward to
① He has been looking forward to going to England for a long time.
期待；盼望
6. look through
① He looked through his notes before the final examination.
浏览；(从头到尾)粗略地翻阅；温习(功课等)
② How did she look through his trick?
看透；看穿；识破
③ Look through this window and you'll see a beautiful garden.
透过…看去；穿过…看去
