Are you searching for deeper social connections?Do you find it difficult to express your thoughts and feelings with those you care for?Are you struggling with the many challenges of this ‘new normal’?
This multi-cultural group dialogue, held online over six consecutive weeks, will provide 10 international and Chinese students with a confidential, safe, and supportive space to discuss the impact of their experiences and connect with others. Members can expect to reach an increased understanding of self, to include: emotion recognition, interpersonal coping styles, and social connection. Topics may include the impact of COVID-19, identity and belonging, academic stressors, culture shock, homesickness, and issues of intimacy and romantic relationships.

Target Student Population
1. Tsinghua University Chinese and International Students who would like to experience more social ease and comfort in China or abroad;2. Tsinghua University Chinese and International Students who would like to feel a deeper sense of identity and belonging;3. Students who can make a commitment to attend all 6 group sessions. Attendance during all 6 sessions will promote group cohesiveness and allow participants to gain the maximum benefit from the group. **Tentative: Subject to change based on applicant time zones.**
Mondays, 9:00-10:30 a.m. (Beijing), May 18th, May 25th, June 1st, June 8th, June 15th, and June 22nd.*30-Minute pre-group interviews will be held on May 14th and 15th.*2-3 Chinese students and 5-6 international students. Closed group.Participants are expected to be on-time and committed to participating in all 6 days of the group dialogue. Additionally, members are required to have access to a location with a stable internet connection, that is also private innature.
