Subsidies for Foreign-invested Enterprises in Shenzhen
The Bureau of Commerce of Shenzhen Municipality promulgated a regulation namely "Implementation on Rules of Distribution of Subsidies to New Established and Capital Increased Foreign-invested Enterprises in Shenzhen"(hereinafter referred to as the "Rules") on 6th January 2021. Foreign-invested enterprises registered in Shenzhen may apply for subsidies while they meet the requirements of the said Rules.
1. Subsidy for New Established Enterprise
A foreign-invested enterprise may apply for subsidies according to the amount of the capital actually contributed by foreign shareholders in 2020 after the establishment of the enterprise.
2. Subsidy for Enterprise with Capital Increase
A foreign-invested enterprise may apply for subsidies according to the increased capital after the foreign shareholders have performed their initial capital contribution obligations in the enterprise.
3. Levels of Subsidies
The Rules stipulate that, with the exception of investments in the areas of real estate industry and financial industry, the subsidies will be distributed in accordance with the following proportions to the amount of the capital actually realized and used by foreign-invested enterprises:
4. Requirements of Applicants for Subsidies
The following conditions shall be met while a foreign-invested enterprise is interested to apply for subsidies :
1) Registered address in Shenzhen with independent legal personality;
2) The applicant is not on any blacklist;
3) The applicant shall not repeatedly or multiply apply for the same or other subsidies;
4) Submit data and information related to foreign investment in P. R. China to the competent authorities.
