43:inconvenience

今天要学的词是inconvenience。Inconvenience就是不方便、麻烦。泰国军方发动政变后在电视上说："We ask for the cooperation of the public and ask your pardon for the inconvenience," 我们要求公众给予合作，给你们带来不便之处还望原谅。

今天要学的词是go-ahead。Go-ahead，两个词当中加联接号，go-ahead就成了名词，意思是批准或下令。报导说："The space shuttle Atlantis was given the go-ahead to return to Earth," 亚特兰蒂斯号航天飞机得到命令返回地球。

一个老板说，"I've already given them the go-ahead, what are they waiting for." 我告诉他们可以进行了，他们还在等什么呀！快干吧，老板生气了。要注意，go ahead当中没有连接词时用作动词。一个妈妈对孩子说，"go ahead, do your homework," 快做功课呀！要是一个彪形大汉说他要揍你，你可千万不要说: go ahead。你会被打得头破血流的。今天学的词组是go-ahead...

今天要学的词组是a big deal。A big deal是指重要的事，大事。美国《福布斯》杂志公布了400名家产几十亿美元的富翁名单。杂志编辑说："It's a really big deal that it's all billionaires," 名单上全是家产几十亿的富翁真是不得了。
