Yunnan Mountain Cleanup
Yunnan Mountain Cleanup project is a community-based event that aims to protect beautiful landscape from litter and raise awareness about littering in Yunnan. We gather as a group of volunteers on the first or second weekend of every month to hike around the mesmerizing province of Yunann and clean up local trails along our way.
Our theme for our June clean-up on the 20th is rainbow. We encourage hikers to proudly wear rainbow attire such as shirts, socks, headbands. Before starting the hike, we will hear from local leaders on how we can support and empower Kunming’s rainbow-friendly community.

云南山林清洁项目是一个以社区为基础的活动，旨在保护美丽的风景不受垃圾污染，并提高人们对垃圾的认识。我们在每个月的第一个或第二个周末聚集在一起，在迷人的云南省内徒步旅行，沿途清理当地的小路。
我们6月20日的清洁活动的主题是彩虹。我们鼓励参与者自豪地穿上彩虹装，如T恤、袜子、头带。在开始徒步旅行之前，我们将听取昆明当地活跃者关于我们如何支持和授权昆明的彩虹友好社区。

6月山林清洁活动详情
Join us on Sunday, June 20th for a rainbow-themed mountain hike and trash clean-up! We will start from Baozhu Village (west of Kunming) and finish at Sanjia Village Reservoir. We will enjoy the beautiful mountain and lake landscape while helping to preserve its natural beauty and bringing together the rainbow-friendly community.
We’ll meet up at exit D, West Bus Station, Line 3 and we will walk for about 15 minutes (1km) to Baozhu Temple where we would stop for a quick vegan buffet lunch(10 RMB per person).

6月20日（周日）加入我们，以彩虹为主题的登山和垃圾清理活动！我们将从宝珠寺（昆明西部）出发，在三家村水库结束。我们将在欣赏美丽的山湖景观的同时，帮助保护其自然风光，并将彩虹友好群体聚集在一起。
我们将会在三号线西部汽车站D出口集合，步行大约15分钟 (1公里) 到宝珠寺，我们将在这里短暂停留吃素食自助午餐 (每人十元) 。
After lunch, we will walk around the beautiful and tranquil local temple where we will see Kunmingers in droves chatting and hanging around here. Then we will ascend from the temple and follow a (mostly) dirt road that leads to a peak offering a stunning panoramic view of Kunming and Dian Lake.

午餐后，我们将在美丽而宁静的寺庙内散步，我们会看到成群的昆明人在这里聊天和闲逛。然后，我们将从寺庙出发，沿着一条（大部分）土路，到达一个山顶，可以看到昆明和滇池的迷人全景。

We will then descend to get to a remote Yi village-Sanjia Village, which is inhabited only by local Yi dwellers. Sanjia village offers stunning mountain and lake views and is a polupar hang-out and camping spot for city dwellers. In an unfortunate contrast to the breath-taking lake and mountain view, trash can be found around the scenic area. As a group, we will walk around the lake, browse through the mud house village and remove enough trash to polish up the site.

然后我们将下山，到达一个偏远的彝族村庄—三家村，这里只有当地的彝族居民居住。三家村拥有迷人的山景和湖景，是城市居民的游玩和露营去处。与令人叹为观止的湖光山色形成鲜明对比的是，景区周围随处可见的垃圾。作为一个团队，我们将绕着湖走一圈，穿过原始夯土房古村，并清除足够的垃圾给这个地方带来崭新的面貌。
Please Note!
-MEETING PLACE-
We will meet at Exit D, West Bus Station, Line 3 at 10.30am and walk for approximately 15 minutes to Baozhu Temple.
Return: You can try to hail/share a car at Sanjia Village to head back to the city or get to the main road for bus C61. Alternatively, you can walk for about an hour to get to the main road for the bus.
-LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY-
The activity does require certain level of physical fitness. The hike lasts for about 5-6 hours and part of the trails is relatively steep. We don't recommend children under 10 to attend unless they're natural hikers.
-WHAT TO BRING-
We will be providing some reusable(limited amount) XL trash bags, tongs and gloves but we still recommend you to BRING YOUR OWN. Also, make sure to bring a mask with you. The event is free of charge but you'll be covering your own personal expenses (lunch, fruit, transportation etc) and insurance cost. Please send your passport info one day before the trip for purchasing outdoor insurance. We recommend you to bring some snacks using your own container. Let's bring a reusable water bottle to keep you hydrated for the climb.
Please bring a rain jacket(we don't recommend to bring an umbrella for the hike) and wear waterproof hiking boots, since parts of the hike might be muddy and slippery during the rain season.
Please bring and wear rainbow attire such as shirts, socks, headbands, hats, socks, sunglasses，etc.
-WHAT NOT TO BRING-
We promote sustainability and strive to be as plastic-free as possible. Please do not bring any single-use plastics (take away cups, straws, plastic bags, single-use food containers, etc).

注意事项！
-集合地点-
我们将于上午10:30，在地铁三号线西部汽车站D出口集合，然后步行大约15分钟到宝珠寺。
返程：你可以尝试在三家村拼车回城，或者打车到主路坐C61路公交车回昆明市区。你也可以步行约一小时到主干道去坐C61公交。
-难度-
本次活动需要一定的身体素质。这次的活动将持续5-6个小时，而且部分道路很陡峭。我们不建议10岁以下的儿童参加，除非是有很强的徒步能力。
-你需为此活动准备的/需要携带的-
我们将提供一些可重复使用（数量有限）的大号垃圾袋，钳子和手套，但我们仍然建议你自备。另外，请确保带上口罩。活动本身是免费的，但你需要自行承担保险和个人开支（午餐，水果，交通等）。我们将统一购买保险，请提前一天把你的身份证信息提供给我们。我们建议你用自己的容器带一点小零食。请保持环保精神，让我们使用可重复利用水杯来保证活动途中水的补给。
请携带防雨夹克（我们不建议带雨伞参加徒步），并穿上防水登山鞋，因为在雨季，徒步的部分路段可能是泥泞和湿滑的。
请携带并穿着彩虹装，如T恤、袜子、头巾、帽子、袜子、太阳镜等。
-不要带什么-
我们提倡可持续发展，并努力做到尽可能的无塑料。请不要携带任何一次性塑料制品（外卖杯、吸管、塑料袋、一次性食品容器等）。

Litter is forever a problem amongst our streets, parks and scenic spots, which ultimately takes away the beauty and dampens the atmosphere for visitors.
Awareness is a fundamental resource we can use to help people understand the impacts of their actions on the environment, however leading by example is a key element for change.
The Yunnan Mountain Cleanup project is the first of many! It happens on the first or second weekend of every month. The project aims to gather volunteers who are eager to hike around the mesmerizing province of Yunnan, cleaning up local trails along the way.
