付亮1993年出生于四川，于法国南特高等美术学院（Nantes Saint-Nazaire School of Art）2019年获艺术学士学位，2021年获得硕士学位，现工作生活于法国巴黎。

付亮 Fu Liang
付亮的创作受自然界中流动物质在地球重力影响下的表现力与地质矿物的属性特征启发，探索事物内在与外在、有形与无形、存在与消失之间的关系。流动的水体和多彩的矿石诉说着生命的变迁与宇宙的亘古，在付亮创作过程中，水彩与矿物颜料于引力作用下渗透入画布，呼应着艺术家对自然的理解与感受。
而极具流动感的面纱有着或通透、或粗粝，模棱两可的材料特性，时常附着在付亮的肖像绘画中人物的脸上，抹去了人物面部的五官特征，消解了描绘对象的身份政治性，使得这些肖像得以匿名的方式呈现人物个体纯粹存在的状态。其作品中朦胧的风景意象与披着面纱的人像试图唤起跨越时间的想象，建构出一个与记忆交织、不断变幻的冥想空间。

FU Liang was born in Sichuan, China in 1993. He received his BFA in 2019 and MFA in 2021 from the Nantes Saint-Nazaire School of Art, France. He currently lives and works in Paris, France.

Fu Liang’s work stems from the fluidity of water and gravity of earth, exploring a mixing of the interior and the exterior, the visible and the invisible, and the presence and absence of his subjects. His use of watercolour and mineral pigments permeating the canvases resonates with his philosophical contemplation on the materiality and mortality of life in relation to the formation of ecology.

While often covering the faces in Fu’s paintings, the translucent and ambiguous veils tend to dissolve the definitions and identities of the depicted figures and, therefore, highlight their existence as humans without emphasizing their individualities. Hence, the veiled portraits and obscured landscape in his work leave a void for the viewer to expand their vision beyond the apparent forms. Through these enigmatic features, the artist attempts to create a timeless space of meditation where forms are constantly transforming, and life and memories intertwine.
