走进楼道，只见楼道靠墙的一侧多了一整块随着楼梯延伸上去的约10米长不锈钢金属板，14厘米宽，1米高的样子，如果不注意的话，还会以为是墙边的保护板。
其实这就是浙江非常道楼道电梯有限公司获得国家发明专利、被专家称之为世界上第三种电梯————分段式接力电梯。
抱小孩上楼
在一楼楼道口，轻轻按下电梯上一个红色的“向上”按钮，从电梯侧面就会自动翻下来一块踏板。这块踏板不大，刚够人双脚站上去。
人站上去后，扶着电梯上的一个扶手，再按住扶手上的“向上”键，踏板就徐徐上升，一松开按键，电梯就停止了。到了二楼的平台，去三楼的踏板又自动打开，而一楼的踏板就会自动关上、自动下行至原始状态，居民们异口同声地说，“方便、实用，安全，经济”。
拎钢瓶上楼
安装这种电梯不需要改变楼房结构，也基本不占用楼道空间，安装一层10米左右长的电梯只需两万多元钱，还很省电。
上下交换互不影响
目前这种楼道分段式接力电梯已经在上海、杭州、南京等地老旧公寓楼的大面积试运行后，受到一致好评，企业也因此于今天开始批量生产。
