遇见毕加索－诺金之夜VIP导览观展 AN ENCOUNTER WITH PICASSO

恰逢中法建交55周年，位于798艺术区的UCCA尤伦斯当代艺术中心于2019年6月15日至9月1日呈现在中国迄今为止极为重要的巴勃罗·毕加索 (1881-1973) 作品展“毕加索——一位天才的诞生”。展览基于国立巴黎毕加索博物馆的馆藏，全面回顾了毕加索创作生涯的前三十年。展览囊括103件作品，其中包含绘画、雕塑，以及纸上作品等。

To coincide with the 55th anniversary of the establishment of China-France diplomatic relations, "Picasso - Birth of a Genius"-the most significant exhibition of work by Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) ever to take place in China-will be presented at UCCA between 15 June and 1 September 2019. The exhibition, which offers a comprehensive overview of the first three decades of Picasso's career, is drawn from the collection of the Musée national Picasso-Paris. There are 103 works in total, including paintings, sculptures and works on paper, etc.

比邻798艺术区的北京诺金酒店作为UCCA的战略合作伙伴，承接本次展览贵宾住宿服务及开幕晚宴活动，并于2019年7月17日举办了“遇见毕加索 - 诺金之夜VIP观展”活动。

On 17 July 2019, as the strategic partner of UCCA, NUO Hotel Beijing held "An Encounter with Picasso - NUO Night VIP Guided Tour" event, an exclusive event at UCCA for the exhibition "Picasso - Birth of a Genius" together with the hotel's distinguished guests.

活动以鸡尾酒会开启，多款经典小食令人愉悦，细节之处均呈现舌尖艺术，酒会的点睛之笔当属展览期间北京诺金酒店推出的联名主题甜品“茉莉花水蜜桃蛋糕”，灵感来自对毕加索艺术风格的探索与融合。

The event started with a delicious and bespoke canapé cocktail reception with the finishing touch of the jointly created dessert, Jasmine Peach Cake, inspired by Picasso's artistic genius.

北京诺金酒店总经理韦伯翰先生致辞欢迎一直以来支持诺金的VIP客户代表及媒体朋友的到来，他说到：“艺术将UCCA和诺金联系起来。艺术是诺金酒店DNA之一。诺金对艺术的推崇展现在每一个细节——每处转角都是一个艺术的世界。我们于数月前开始探讨双方怎样就此次展览深入合作，力图在彼此达成的共识基础上谋求更为广泛的多领域合作”。

Bernhard Wimmer, General Manager of NUO Hotel Beijing made a welcome speech to all VIP guests and media friends. In his speech, he shared "Art has linked NUO and UCCA together. As art is part of NUO's DNA, the respect for art is shown in every detail of the hotel - every corner is an art world of its own. NUO began to discuss with UCCA several months ago on how to further work together on this exhibition, trying to seek broader cooperation based on our mutual understanding and interests."

致辞后嘉宾们跟随专业导览近距离欣赏艺术作品，进一步对百余幅艺术作品有了更为深刻的理解。夜晚的观展，静谧在空间中滞留，感受时间的缓慢中流逝，觅得艺术的归属感让美感自然生长。

Guests then went on the private guided tour to enjoy and explore the world of "Picasso - Birth of a Genius" with over hundreds of his original masterpieces.

这些创作于1893至1921年间的作品，共同展示了这位现代艺术史上大胆、具原创性、较为多产的天才 -- 毕加索的艺术创作的形成与演变过程。此次展览由国立巴黎毕加索博物馆藏品总监艾米利娅·菲利普策划，并专为此次在中国于UCCA的呈现而进行构思设计与组织。

Taken together, these works realised between 1893 and 1921, tell the story of the creative formation and evolution of the most daring, original, and prolific talent in the history of modern art. The exhibition, curated by Emilia Philippot, curator of the Musée national Picasso-Paris, has been conceived and organised specifically for this presentation at UCCA and in China.

展览中所呈现的三十年涵盖了青年毕加索的艺术发现与酝酿时期，其风格经历了从学徒时代的学院派现实主义，到战后向古典风格的回归；从蓝色时期和粉色时期交替出现的忧郁和情感相关主题，到他具有开创性的原始主义探索等诸多变化。展览在重现毕加索作品中这些看似矛盾的多种艺术语言的同时，也使观众得以体察这些艺术风格转变背后的历史与个人生活现实。

The three decades under consideration here were a period of artistic discovery and ferment for the young Picasso, whose style underwent numerous changes, from the academic realism of his student days to this post-war return to classical style after the great Cubist adventure; from the alternately somber and carnivalesque motifs of the Blue and Rose periods to the primitivist-explorations which ultimately led to the multiple phases of Cubism. Accordingly, while reaffirming the coexistence of several seemingly contradictory languages in Picasso's works, the exhibition will put some artworks from the artist's personal collection into dialogue with his own productions, thereby highlighting the painter's affinities with the works of his predecessors or contemporaries.
