Which one of the following options is the best way for a company to encourage its employees to get involved in community service?
1. Give them breaks so that they can tutor kids to do homework, or clean up the park
2. Provide monthly reward
3. posting their volunteering activities records online
Personally, I would say posting their volunteering records online is the best option. Everyone can check out the community service that these employees did. News can be spread quickly online and I bet those who did lots of volunteering activities will find it very rewarding and meaningful. When they do these activities, they feel like they have something to offer to others and they feel they am needed by the community. It gives them a great sense of achievement. Eventually, posting employees’ volunteering records will motivate employees to get involved in community service.

it is necessary to learn the local history of the city one is living in.
I couldn't agree more with that, learning the city’s history is a great way to learn the mindset, ideas, and attitudes of the past, and this gives us a chance to learn from who we came from and find one's identity. Additionally, we can draw upon the ancient philosophy to make today's world a better place, like ancient Chinese philosophy can gives us some insight on how to live harmoniously with the mother nature and stop polluting the environment, to help the preserve the endangered species, and stuff like that.

It is important to read or watch the news presented by people whose views are similar to your own or read or watch the news presented by whose views are different from your own.
Describe the advantages and disadvantages of doing group projects.
The benefit of doing group projects is obvious. It is more interactive, and students discuss with each other and think hard to figure out the best way to deal with problems. In this process, they can really come up with creative solutions. Eventually, not only can students learn to work together with others, they also get a chance to develop their creativity, and it is more fun to learn when they discuss and exchange ideas. However, the drawback is that there might be free-rider problems. You know, some students might not work hard since nobody is directly responsible for the result of the group.

When people have disagreements with others, some people try to change others’ opinions while others prefer to respect difference. Which do you prefer and why?
Personally, I would say it is better to respect different opinions. First off, it is natural for people to have different inclinations and preferences when it comes to a specific topic. It is not necessary to try to change others’ views. Respecting different views means that one is open to distinctive ideas and one respects others who have different opinions. Additionally, by respecting difference, people can get to know different ideas and have different ways to perceive the same problem. Thus, one will think creatively and critically if they respect others’ opinion.

Do you agree or disagree with the statement: it is a waste of money of governments' fund for space travel and space exploration?
Space exploration requires colossal investment and the risk of technological failure is involved when operating space shuttles in a hostile environment. Thus, some people argue that it is not worth the money and risk. However, personally, I believe that there are both tangible and intangible benefits associated with space exploration based on the following reasons.
First off, space exploration creates hundreds of thousands of jobs and boasts the local and national economy. Indeed, the endeavor of space exploration not only creates job in space agencies, but also provides job opportunities in universities, research institutions and other entities. According to an administrator from NASA, $2.5 billions were made in one project to explore Mars, creating thousands of jobs all over the country. However, if the government decides to cease space exploration, chances are that it will cause great employment fluctuation and unemployment, which can be a nightmare for both authorities and unemployed individuals. Consequently, space exploration and space travel should not only be embraced, but also it should be promoted so that more jobs will be created.
Additionally, space exploration has great intangible assets for the country and its young generations. In fact, there are lots of intangibles values brought by space exploration. For instance, think of finding the trace of water in another planet, construction of International Space Station, or discovering another planet. Every bit of knowledge that we learned about the outer space simply add to the encyclopedia of human race. Plus, the incessant exploration of the outer space and research on space travel have inspired millions of young generations to choose STEM as their area of study for instance like science, technology, engineering and machine. With the enormous passion and enthusiasm of the younger generation, nothing is impossible in the future. For example, we might make traveling and even migrating to outer space become a true story.
In conclusion, space exploration has both tangible and intangible benefits to human beings. Not only does it create hundreds of thousands of jobs and boast the local and national economy, but also it inspires millions of younger generations to pursue science as their field, making it possible for us to travel and migrate to the outer space a true story.
