What make is …?   什么车牌？

- That’s a nice dress. It’s very smart.  瞧啊，多好的裙子。真漂亮。

- The colour is too loud.  这个颜色太艳了。

loud  高声的,不断的,喧吵的; [口]（衣服, 颜色）过分鲜艳的,俗气的,过分花哨的;（举止）冒失的;略带粗俗的

      The colour suits Lily very much.  这颜色对Lily很合适。

colourful life多彩的生活

colorless = colourless 无色的、不生动的

1）adj. 绿色

Green hills 绿色的山丘

2）adj（指水果）未成熟的; 生的; 青的

 green bananas 青香蕉

apples  too green to eat 生的不能吃的苹果

3）adj未成熟的; 无经验的; 易受愚弄的

greenhand 新手  -- old hand  老手

green card  绿卡

4）adj 指面色）苍白, 带病容: The passengers turned quite green with sea-sickness. 旅客们由於晕船而脸色发青.

give sb/get the green `light  准许某人[获准]做某事; 开绿灯

green light 绿灯 red light 红灯 yellow light 黄灯

green house 温室  植物多为绿色，因此green经常代表植物。植物住的房子就是“温室”。

注意：地点副词：here, there, upstairs, downstairs, home, abroad, 前面不用加介词 to

名词 + ly = 形容词，代表该名词特征。

friendly   友善的，象朋友一样的

womanly 温柔的，娴淑的,有女人味的   具有女性特征的。

lovely 招人喜欢的，讨人喜欢的，可以指人非常可爱，也可以指衣服，也可指景色

all of you look lovely 你们看上去都非常可爱

lovely在口语中是令人愉快的，美好的

a lovely holiday 愉快的假期  a lovely vacation

bright    (多指小孩)  Your little son is so bright.

wise     理性的; 精明的（形容年纪较长者）

cute 可爱的 The baby is cute. 

beautiful美丽的 形容比较高大的美女

beautiful woman 漂亮的女人

the most beautiful mother 最美妈妈

pretty漂亮的 形容比较娇小可爱的女孩

pretty 可指女孩子，迷人的，指非常有魅力    pretty boy 指这个男孩子不够man

1）n 箱子

suitcase 手提箱     Could you carry my case for me? 你给我提着手提箱可以吗?

2）n 容器，套，包装  a pencil case

see 与 look at 有什么区别呢？

3）n接受内科﹑ 精神科等治疗的病人: This boy is a sad case这个男孩儿是个可怜的病儿

case-book 病历

casework n [U] social work involving the study of individuals or families with problems （对有问题的个人或家庭所做的）社会工作. `caseworker n.

1）n 地毯 eg we need a new bedroom carpet 我们需要一块卧室用的新地毯

2）n地上的一厚层的东西: a carpet of leaves, snow, 一厚层的叶子﹑雪

1）n 狗    -  doggie n 小狗

a dog's `breakfast/`dinner (infml 口) muddle or mess 乱糟糟; 一团糟: He's made a real dog's breakfast of these accounts. 他把这些帐目搞得一团糟

2）v dog – dogged dogged  跟随，紧随

词组 ： dog sb‘s footsteps 跟踪某人

look at 指的是过程

see指的是结果   比如在人群中一下子就看到我了，那就用see

It’s the same colour.  同样的颜色。 

It’s the same car.  同一辆车。  

It’s the same school.  同一所学校。

the same age

The same city

We live in the same city.

same绝对形容词，通常与定冠词the连用，表示“同一的”、“相同的”

two boys of the same age  两个同龄的男孩子
