Tickets for Brawl on the Wall Now on Sale

2017-03-14 ThatsBeijing

Beijing's favorite black-tie boxing event, Brawl on the Wall, is back for yet another bout of fighting at the Park Hyatt Beijing on April 29. And tickets for the event are now on sale!

In case you haven’t heard of white collar boxing before, the sport features everyday men and women, instead of experienced or professional fighters. There are currently 60 white collar participants in training, and they’re all bidding for just 18 spaces on fight night.

All participants are inexperienced boxers who undergo three months of training at participating gyms – Fight Republic and Quanzun – prior to fight night. On the big night, boxers will enter the ring with professional-level equipment and refereeing and duke it out with their opponent. All in all, there will be nine bouts of boxing during this year’s Brawl on the Wall.

Brawl on the Wall is always a glamorous affair, but the best part is the whole thing is for a great cause. Every year Brawl on the Wall supports a different charity. This time around proceeds will go to support the China-based organization, Bethel.

Bethel is home to 65 visually-impaired children, many of whom are orphans. The organization provides a safe and stimulating environment which allows these kids to thrive and empowers them through foster care, therapy and education. At the event, Brawl on the Wall will host a live auction to help raise funds for Bethel.

The year's event will be organized by China Sports Promotions, the largest organizer of white collar boxing training and events in China. Their aim is to educate communities through training programs and black-tie, white-collar boxing fight nights. So far, they have raised over RMB2.6 million for charities across China.

The 2017 Brawl on the Wall is shaping up to be yet another smash hit. Over 500 people are expected to attend the black-tie boxing extravaganza and look on as nine pairs of fighters go head to head.
