If you’re on the hunt for a new job you may be in luck. The Beijing organizing committee for the 2022 Winter Olympics is currently looking for international talent to fill 11 positions in 10 different fields, China Daily reports. These hires will make up the international organizing squad.
The committee will hire 22 people in total across 21 job categories in the following fields: construction and planning, managing venues, marketing and finance. Applications are currently being accepted on the committee's website, www.beijing2022.cn. The site also gives full job descriptions. The deadline to apply is March 31.
Potential candidates who pass the first round will be given a written examination in mid-April, and the interview process will begin sometime in May. The final candidates will be announced toward the end of May.
Those who do not make the final cut may still be considered for future positions for the Beijing 2022 Olympics.
This search for international talent is part of President Xi Jinping's quest to put on an “extraordinary Winter Olympics.”
"The lack of athletic and management expertise in winter sports in our country should be addressed by pushing the training program of local staffers and borrowing experience from all possible circles, which was highlighted by the president in several of his remarks," said Yang Yang, a member of the International Olympic Committee.
