May 5: Shadowplay Presents Marcel Dettmann
DJ and producer Marcel Dettmann started making a name for himself in the electronic music scene starting in the late 1990s. He's now said by many to be "one of the most influential proponents of contemporary techno." Expect an exciting (and at times surprising) set from the Berlin-based DJ.

May 5: Liman
You might recognize Liman based on his longstanding career in the party and events industry. He also happens to live right here in Beijing - so you might have seen him around town. The electronic music pioneer has toured around China numerous times and played all the major festivals. Liman has had the chance to work with the likes of Steve Aoki, Diplo and A-Track. Sure, he's been a little MIA the past few years. But he's back at Dada on Friday. Support comes from Pei and Nicolai Zellmani.

May 6: Cheers Sixth Anniversary Party
Cheers is celebrating its sixth year with a wine-fueled blowout. Sounds pretty good to us. The festivities will be happening at the 1949 Hidden City courtyard. Entry is free and party-goers will get free-flow sparkling wine all day long (thanks Cheers!). A bunch of DJs will be performing and food will be available (for purchase) by Baozza, Andy's Sausages and Crepanini.

May 6: Bryan Kasenic
Record label The Bunker New York started out as a techno party that amassed a cult following. It was founded by none other than Bryan Kasenic and has since grown into a thriving collaborative community that promotes electronic and experimental music in New York. Kasenic's set at Dada should be delightfully eclectic.

May 6: Dope Flow Freestyle Battle
Beijing's best rappers - Nasty Ray and Boom - will be facing off in this epic freestyle battle. DJ 4tel will provide the beats, and the judges will be Ijapa Banton and Jiggy. The winner will win all sorts of prizes and equipment.
