New Report Reveals Who Uses WeChat the Most
By Bridget O'Donnell
A new report from WeChat shows that specific types of users are more active on the platform than anyone else.
The user behavior report, released this week, indicates that "expats" — users with a non-Chinese interface — are much more active than "typical" users, defined as Chinese people born between the 1980s and 90s.
According to the statistics, 60 percent more foreign users living in China send messages over the app, 42 percent more use voice calls and 13 percent more use video chat. Additionally, 45 percent more stickers are sent per day by foreigners.
