Cathay Pacific Jet's New Paint Job Spoiled by Huge Typo

Aviation geeks and copy editors alike have been having a field day after a massive typo was spotted on a newly repainted Cathay Pacific plane in Hong Kong.

Images circulating online this week showed an 'F' missing from the airline's logo on a plane that recently received a new paint job. The letters splashed across the side of the jet instead spelled out 'Cathay Paciic.' Oops.

Some were also amused that the aircraft's registration appeared to say "No."

According to the South China Morning Post, the glaring spelling mistake could cost thousands of dollars to fix.

Cathay Pacific did not seem to give a F, posting pictures of the error on Facebook. "Oops this special livery won’t last long!" read the caption. "She’s going back to the shop!"
