是时候跟奥巴马的演讲说再见了。

这次带来的是奥巴马的告别演讲，时长50分钟左右，其实，阿V前几天就发过了这次告别演讲的无字幕版了，要是平时的一般视频，看到有50分钟，很大可能就不翻译了呀，但这次不同呀，到底看了奥巴马的演讲这么久了，最后一次了，骨子的多多少少有个叫做“庸俗”的东西在作怪，但却脸皮厚地安慰自己是“情怀”，所以就有了这个视频的翻译，换成一个人的工作量，这可是要连着4天，咬着牙才能完成的。

the state of our democracy

understand,democracy does not require uniformity

our founders argued,they quarreled,

eventually they compromised

they expected us to do the same

but they knew that democracy

does require a basic sense of solidarity

the idea that for our outward differences

were all in this together

that we rise or fall as one

there have been moments throughout ourhistory

that threatened that solidarity

the beginning of this century has been oneof those times

a shrinking world growing inequality

to begin with our democracy won't workwithout a sense

that everyone has economic opportunity

and the good news is that today

the economy is growing again

wages,in comes,home values and

retirement accounts are all rising again

poverty is falling again

the wealthier paying a parish share oftaxes

even as the stock market shatters records

the unemployment rate is near a ten-yearlow

the uninsured rate has never ever beenlower

health care costs are rising at the slowestrate in  years

and I've said and I mean it

we know it's not enough

our economy doesn't work as well or grow asfast

when a few prosper at the expense of agrowing middle class

and ladders for folks who want to get intothe middle class

that's the economic argument but

stark inequality is also corrosive to ourdemocratic idea

while the top 1% has amassed

a bigger share of wealth and income

the laid-off factory work

who's barely getting by and struggling topay the bills

convinced that the game is fixed againstthem

that their government only serves theinterest of the powerful

that's a recipe for more cynicism

和极端主义的部分

and polarization in our politics

and there are no quick fixes to thislong-term trend

I agree our trade should be fair and notjust free

but the next wave of economic dislocations

won't come from overseas

it will come from the relentless pace ofautomation

that makes a lot of good middle-class jobsobsolete

and so we're going to have to forge a newsocial compact

to reflect the way we live now

don't avoid their obligations to thecountry

that's made their very success possible

we can argue about how to best achievethese goals

but we can't be complacent about the goalsthemselves

but we're not where we need to be

if every economic issue is framed as astruggle between

regardless of the station that we occupy

we all have to try harder
