Area Manager, North China
Fixed term - full time

What it's about
Reporting to the Regional Commercial Head, the Area Manager will be responsible for leading sales activities to support revenue growth with new and existing exam centres within the territory of North China: Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Jilin, Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Shandong, Shanxi, Shan'xi, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia.
What you'll be doing
You will be responsible for:
Developing the business plan for the territory in conjunction with the Regional Commercial Head and documenting detailed sales plans for each territory/account.
Driving the sales process from initiation to completion, organising and delivering promotional presentations, attending conferences, events and seminars, identifying and reporting new business opportunities and providing market intelligence.
Developing relationships with key stakeholders in the region including institutions, government and exam centres and maintaining specialist knowledge about our markets and the wider-educational landscape.
What we're looking for
You will be an experienced business development manager with proven experience of closing high value sales in the region. You will have excellent communications skills in both English and Mandarin (at least C1 in both). You will have experience of successfully building relationships and negotiating a wide range of B2B and B2G contracts. Knowledge of educational systems and assessment would be an advantage.

Assessment Services Manager
Permanent - full time FTC for 3 years

What it's about
Reporting to the Regional Operations Head for East Asia, the Assessment Services Manager will be responsible for providing Assessment management and support for the region; to manage local Assessment, Research & Validation and Operations projects, and be a point of contact for key stakeholders on Assessment issues and developments.
What you'll be doing
You will be responsible for:
Providing Assessment expertise for the region by locally managing Assessment projects.
Being the contact for local stakeholders in the region, providing advice, support and expertise to aid in the selection of assessment services.
Investigating opportunities for local Assessment, Operations and Research & Validation projects and report back to Cambridge on their feasibility.
Contributing to the development of the Presenter team in terms of briefing on Assessment issues and the proofing and vetting of presentation materials for local use.
Engaging with any local Operations functions and managing local service providers.
Contributing to the implementation of local business strategy through the promotion of Cambridge English assessment services in the region.
What we're looking for
You will be a strategic thinker with expertise in language testing theory and practice. Experience of working with high level stakeholders, such as Ministries of Education is essential, as is knowledge of local education systems and pedagogy in general. You will have excellent communications skills in both English and Mandarin (at least C1 in both).

Strategic Development Manager
Permanent - Fixed Term Contract for 3 years

What it's about
Reporting to the Regional Director for East Asia, the Strategic Development Manager will be responsible for maximising sales growth with new and existing government customers throughout the East Asia region. This role also works closely with the Head of International Education as part of the global team.
What you'll be doing
You will be responsible for:
Delivering on project/B2G revenue growth targets across all Cambridge English products in the region.
Ensuring new opportunities, with existing and potential clients, in curriculum, assessment and capacity development areas are identified.
Providing input into and review of regional tenders from ministries and other groups.
Supporting contract negotiation with new clients.
Developing and implementing the strategy for raising the profile and credibility of Cambridge English with prospective and current clients.
Providing regular feedback to teams in the region and in Cambridge; sharing insight with a particular focus on changes in regional education policy, media commentary, trends in requests and competitor activity.
What we're looking for
You will be a strategic thinker with proven experience of solutions selling, negotiating high value contracts and building relationships at a senior level. You will have excellent communications skills in both English and Mandarin (at least C1 in both). Knowledge of the education market and trends in the East Asia region is essential, whilst a broad based knowledge of assessment systems and international curricula would be an advantage.
