安省医疗卫生部长Christine Elliott 今日终于揭开福特政府医改的面纱，确认一个新的超级机构Ontario Health, 今后将会逐步取代现在的六个机构和14 个区域医疗分支网络LHIN。现场视频

编者按：安省的医疗保健是个庞大的机构，繁文缛节特别多，床位等待时间特别久。省政府为了减少医疗浪费，和患者的等待时间，减少hall way waiting, 把之前的繁多医疗机构，合并成一个机构，这样不会行政浪费。

对于有人的质疑，福特政府回答的是：我们cut的是管理费，并不是cut服务

以前自由党政府乱花钱。使得重复建设的那些机构都发财了，但是老百姓却在走廊上等床位。

从现在开始，所有一切都建立在以患者为中心的基础上。核心思想是：以患者为核心，一切服务为患者。

与此同时，精神护理的投资也增加了。

Ontario has world class health care services provided by some of the best health care workers. Over the past decade the delivery of health care has been disconnected and fractured . 

Ontarians on average are paying 30% more than the rest of Canadians for health services.

 The people of our province deserve better, they deserve a connected health care system that puts patients needs first. That is why our government is committed to transforming and modernizing our system to put patients and their families at the center of how services are delivered. Under the new system healthcare providers will work as one coordinated team focusing on the patients specific local needs.

Integrating multiple provincial agencies and specialized provincial programs into a single agency will provide a central point of accountability and oversight in the system.

#OntarioHealth will transform and modernize our public healthcare system, to place patients at the center of how these services are delivered across our province. These innovative changes will help to maximize the outcomes of our governments historic investments of 30,000 #LTC beds and $3.8 Billion into #MentalHealth services over 10 the next years.

目前的实际情况是表面上的免费医疗，而医疗检查项目正在缩减，砍去了大笔医院经费，现在医院因为经费紧而造成了床位大量减少。

有的医院将病床放在了走廊，变成了走廊医疗 （Hallway medicine）；有的医院将病床挤进了厕所，变成了厕所医疗 （Washroom medicine）。
