海外平行课 | 新时代的仪式建筑 Ritual and Ceremonial Buildings
连接（Linking）学术（Academy）创新（Creation, 是LAC的由来，也是我们坚持的目标与初心;我们希望打破陈旧的设计教育, 帮助大家完成“中国学习模式”到“海外学习模式”的转变, 提前掌握国外院校的研究理论与设计逻辑。 我们希望挖掘学生个人潜力, 培养学员逐步拥有自己的设计思维, 在最擅长的领域延伸和放大。
基于教学需求, 经过半年的研发与筹备, 我们开始推出《LAC海外平行课》, 100%基于海外顶尖设计院校教案, 教学模式以及教学理念, 打造最具创意和颠覆的主题创作类课程, 引导学生从独特的视角解读场地, 探索研究相关理论, 切入设计, 逻辑性地发展深化至高质量的作品。
授课模式：1位导师, 限3-4名学生, 线上结合线下, 围绕一个典型学术理论/海外研究性设计课题/国际竞赛, 融合多种设计学科, 课程内容包含头脑风暴, 概念培养, 设计流训练, 图面表现等。

| 海外项目背景 |
This project is located in the coastal area of River Mersey, based on the original footprint of Birkenhead Priory - considerably one of the oldest existing architecture of Merseyside. It is the only remaining piece of silence in the noisy yet remote region, and, a small historic and religious site surrounded by factories and dry docks. Historically, remains of Birkenhead Priory have subsequently experienced various forms (and many times) of destruction and restorations since 1700s .
Thus, it is not surprising to see the place of Birkenhead Priory today still stands in ruins, being left in-carefully protected, and rarely visited, with only two of the small spaces currently in use (as a museum and a small chapel). But it is interesting to find why this place had to suffer such a chaotic history. In general, reasons for the random destruction in its history may be interpreted considering on the following three aspects:
*Rare consideration of cultural and social durability and sustainability (architects’ negligence)
*Poor awareness of cultural and historical significance of the built environment (developers’ negligence )
*Lack (society)/ignorance (developers) of public opinions and resistance from the owners
Studies suggest that restorations aiming to recover the physical form of the priory may be too simple, the architecture was assumed to have its life extended only for a few decades more, because this relies too much on the uncertain factor of human activities. In other words, the architecture was restored just to satisfy the demands of temporary needs, and it could be popular for a while, but as population or any other factor changes, situations of the area could be totally various. However, what was left unconsidered, but is even more important, was its spiritual and cultural significances: Birkenhead Priory stands as the oldest work of architecture of Merseyside, it is the carrier of memories of the old stories, cultures, lifestyles, fashions, religions etc. This should be seen as a more certain factor, which does not have to rely on its visitors, but instead, it will stand its own, tall and steady.
我在英国就读RIBA PartII 阶段研究的是宗教建筑，这是一个为期一年的研究项目，选址位于英格兰西北部一个名为Birkenhead的城市，拥有葬礼堂，回忆长廊，冥想空间，宴会厅，遗物回廊等空间的基督教火葬场。整个建筑是基于Birkenhead Priory（一个很古老的修道院）的废墟上重建的。
21世纪的残破建筑结构再也撑不起仪式所需要的空间语汇 。葬礼，婚礼，契约，本应该是美好的记忆在高密度的场所环境下支离破碎，仪式建筑成为了不堪回首禁地。当代的神圣性必须从传统建筑中生长出来。为此，我们要横向剥离那变质的仪式，焚烧为既定活动环节而设计的结构，将那变成媚俗的尸体。在废墟上重建灵活可变的仪式系统，让黑与白的空间体验自由切换。我们也要纵向引导人在空间中的情绪走向，当然不能没有光，第三种纯粹的颜色，将要在精心控温的结构上流淌。

骨灰盒在颤颤巍巍的人手中穿过无边的空间。从此，无数生命和文脉最后的记忆在这里沉睡，有时被建筑细缝楼下的光唤醒，曾经人们寻着建筑的轮廓找到记忆
我只记得那里的天很阴沉，就像那一天黑暗将我包围
砖块的上 上面覆盖着苔藓，空中漂浮的焚烧气味
被它们包围着，有一瞬间我以为他还在我身边
我走向那道门，想要好好跟他说声再见，狂风伴着昼日却带来了麦当劳的味道，人头攒动的像油炸的锅
走出那道门，我迷失在城市里，也再也找不到他了
最终我选择用一种简单的语言来描绘空间。通过空间来传递情绪会是怎样？
一个冰冷漆黑的小房间，正中央有一把混凝土铸成的方凳，它被从顶上忽然洒下的一道光照亮，带着只属于自己的关于亡者的回忆坐在那方凳上披着阳光哭泣会是一种怎样的体验？——我很想知道；
我认为完整地还原或是封存都不是保护传统文化最好的方法，就算完全按照传统工艺打造出来的产品，我认为也只是个赝品，因为它很可能不属于任何一个时代…” 因此我认为传承古典之美的关键在于新与旧的融合。“也许体现在建筑或是产品设计上的复古情怀也是要随着时代一起慢慢改变下去的吧。 所以我们在做的是一种尝试，我们不愿放弃复古情怀，又要为现代人的审美所接受… 美是不分对错的，因此我认为一定存在这样一种可能。

Most important rule: be EXPERIMENTAL, be BOLD, be CREATIVE. Learn how to rebel and distort. Passionate and sketchy ideas with emotions will end up better than ordinary but well-thought proposals.
重新挖掘原场地（Coastal area of River Mersey）的社会文化背景及现状等因素，探索截然相反气氛的另一种传统仪式（如婚礼/成人典礼/民族特有仪式等），最终设计出由该仪式而生，并与其相互影响的建筑空间。传承，摒弃，或是改变？---对于每一样传统仪式、习俗、讲究，人们似乎更应辩证地做出选择，设计师们亦是如此。
此课题意在浮躁的设计中，让年轻设计师们重新解读“仪式”本身的属性，自我理解既有仪式的形式与其所对应空间氛围，探索创造空间叙事性的技巧, 融合当代社会特点对其进行改造设计，思考“仪式建筑“的形制，材料，色彩等设计要素与建筑氛围的关系。在导师的辅助下设定法则，边界，用严谨的研究报告 （将它了解透彻，以模型，模拟工具，数据，任意方式探索大面积材料对整体空间的影响，最终形成自己的方法论达成宣言，为作品注入个人名片式的表达与内核。

1.全新的视角和方案逻辑；
2.绘制场地分析图，文脉背景分析图作为输出，并在之后作为设计衍生的来源；
3.需要制作模型（实体/3D建模）作为推敲手段理解空间的运作方式；
4.后期加入材料研究、案例研究的结果以完善设计；
5.以效果渲染图/平面/剖面/立面/轴侧/各类分析图和设计过程手册作为最终的表达呈现形式；
6.导师将根据自己的经验在项目的立意，理论基础，设计方法及手法，图面表达，设计逻辑等多方面带领学生完成一个有灵魂的项目
