Visit | 新任以色列驻广州总领事高文先生一行访问广以
昨天，以色列驻广州总领事高文（Alex Goldman Shayman）和副总领事骁艾伟（Aviv Zell）一行到访广东以色列理工学院。广东以色列理工学院校长、中国科学院院士龚新高，副校长林丹明，副校长兼总干事Yigal Cohen，本科生院院长Dganit Danino，数学与计算机科学系主任Eliahu Aljadeff，副总干事兼校园建设部总监Ehud Baran等与嘉宾进行座谈交流。会议由Yigal Cohen主持。
这是高文先生履新后首次到访广以。龚新高校长对嘉宾一行表示热烈欢迎。他表示，广以这所年轻的高校是中以两国合作中最重要的项目之一，为两国在教育、科技、文化等多方面提供合作交流平台，希望能够在国际交换、文化交流等方面获得以色列驻广州总领事馆的更多支持。
林丹明副校长向来宾简要介绍了广以的办学历史，以及学科特色、人才培养、师资队伍建设、校区建设等办学成果。他介绍，学校全面引进以色列理工学院的优质教育资源，建立教育、创新和研究三方协同的知识三角，已经培养出了一批具有开阔的国际视野、出色的学术交流能力和科研能力的毕业生，得到众多世界一流高校、科研院所的高度认可。
高文先生对广以在办学短短五年内取得的丰硕办学成果赞叹不已。“广以的校区建设令人惊讶，南校区的攀岩墙给我留下了非常深刻的印象！”他表示，自己为能够见证广以这一两国人民合作的典范感到非常振奋，领事馆期待与广以进一步深化在学术、文化等多方面的合作，也期待广以在未来能取得更好的成绩！
座谈交流中，Dganit Danino教授和Eliahu Aljadeff教授向来访嘉宾分享在广以从事教学、科研工作和参与交流的经历，并期待未来学校和领事馆能够通过丰富文化活动等方式促进两国人民更多往来。
近日恰逢以色列传统节日犹太新年前夕，广以校领导和教授们与来访的高文先生一行互致节日的祝福。

Yesterday, Mr. Alex Goldman Shayman, Consul General of Israel in Guangzhou and Mr. Aviv Zell, Deputy Consul General of Israel in Guangzhou led a team to visit Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT). Prof. Gong Xingao, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Chancellor of GTIIT; Pro. Lin Danming, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GTIIT; Yigal Cohen, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Director General; Prof. Dganit Danino, Dean of Undergraduate Studies; Prof. Eliahu Aljadeff, Program Head of Mathematics with Computer Science; Ehud Baran, Deputry Director General and Director of Campus Construction Department as well as staff and faculty representatives attended the meeting. Yigal Cohen presided over the meeting.
This is the first time that Mr. Goldman visited GTIIT after his appointment as the Consul General of Israel in Guangzhou. Prof. Gong extended his warm welcome to the delegation. He noted that GTIIT, as one of the most important projects in the Sino-Israeli cooperation, provided a platform for educational, scientific, technological and cultural activities between the two countries. He hoped that the Consulate could support GTIIT in international exchanges and cultural activities, etc..
Prof. Lin gave a brief introduction about GTIIT, including its history, features, talent cultivation, faculty team and other achievements, to the guests. He pointed out that GTIIT introduced the excellent discipline advantages, academic traditions and the "Knowledge Triangle" education model of the Technion, and has seen fruitful results in talent cultivation: students have won high recognition from world's top universities and institutions.
"It is exciting to see GTIIT's campus construction. The climbing wall at the South Campus really impressed me!" Mr. Goldman expressed his delight to see GTIIT's astonishing achievements in just five years. He also looked forward to further collaboration with GTIIT in academic affairs and cultural events. "I am enthusiastic about GTIIT's future!" Mr. Goldman said.
Prof. Dganit Danino and Prof. Eliahu Aljadeff shared their experience about teaching, researching and intercultural communication in GTIIT, and advised that GTIIT and the Consulate can promote the relationships between the people in two countries by more cultural activities.
Jewish New Year is fast approaching. During the meeting, GTIIT leaders and faculty also exchanged the New Year wishes with the delegation.
