Jinan teacher invents elastic tape for mask-wearers
Liu Xiaohu, a teacher in Jinan, has recently invented an elastic tape helping to protect the ears of people who wear masks for a long period. A total of 1,000 rolls of tape, as the first batch made by Liu and his family, were donated to Wuhan medics on Feb 25.
近日，济南老师刘小虎发明了一种“口罩护耳弹性盘带”，避免长时间佩戴口罩而产生勒痕。刘小虎及其家人制作的第一批1000个口罩盘带已于2月25日捐赠给武汉的医护人员。

Plum blossoms bring a splash of color to Jinan

Jinan bookstore launches livestream activities
Yan Long, a worker at Xinhua Bookstore in Jinan, hosted a livestream book sharing activity on March 1, with the aim of encouraging people to stay at home to prevent new novel coronavirus infections. The bookstore hosted 37 such live events in February, with 2.8 million views.
3月1日，济南新华书店员工闫龙开启“闫讲读书会”线上直播，为了丰富读者在家中的文化生活，鼓励市民防疫期间待在家里。书店在2月份已举办直播活动37场，观看量达280万次。
全球净展览面积最大
绿地国博城会展中心主体钢结构开工
Construction starts on main structure of Jinan Greenland Intl Expo Center
A truss weighing 58 tons was placed onto two concrete pillars of Jinan Greenland International Expo Center on March 3, marking the start of the main phase of construction.
3月3日，一片重达58吨的屋面桁架被吊起并安装到两侧混凝土框架柱上，标志着济南绿地国际博览城会展中心项目进入主体钢结构建设新阶段。
Designed to cover a total construction area of 1.2 million square meters, the center has 510,000 sq m of exhibition space, which is expected to make it the largest exhibition venue in the world.
济南绿地国际博览城会展中心总建筑面积120万平方米，其中净展览面积51万平方米，是全球净展览面积最大的会展中心。
From above, the building appears in a "V" shape, a design inspired by the Yellow River. A supporting hotel for the center has been designed in the shape of Shandong's Taishan Mountain.
整体外观形似“V”字，方案设计以中华民族的发源地黄河为主题，配建的五星级酒店采用双曲线立面造型，寓意泰山。
1000000只，济南口罩日产量激增
Jinan sees spike in daily mask production
The daily output of face masks in Jinan is expected to surpass 1 million soon, driven by the immediate adjustment in production lines and orderly collaboration between firms in the city.
