District, BeijingTel: +86 10 89575180 江衡的作品趋于波普性和生产性的特点，也符合其自身的艺术语言逻辑，即由玩具/现成品、加工、复制、生产、消费和消耗构成的链接关系。他的作品中特别彰显了物的内涵，即以物讽喻了大众对物的崇拜和服从，更显现了物中蕴藏劳动、生产、消费和消耗的过程。这里我想以德勒兹的一个观点来概括江衡的作品再恰当不过了，他指出，视觉其实是隐藏在物体中的，不是在肉眼里，在明量的图像里。这是江衡作品显著的语言和观念特征。江衡的作品用一种五彩斑斓的重复性和生产性直指人的物欲的灵魂——通向虚妄之路。尤其是其作品充满讽刺的意味让人在阅读和歧义中体会到某种存在的虚无性。——黄笃(2019年3月24日广东美术馆“漂亮的、柔软的”江衡作品展研讨会发言摘录) Jiang Heng's works are characterized by the pop art and productivity, and
also meet his own artistic language logic, which presents the link relation
consisting of toys/ready-made products, processing, copying, production and
consumption. His works highlight the connotation of the goods, satirize the
worship and subordinate of the masses to the goods, and reveal the process of
labor, production and consumption of the goods. Here, I want to summarize Jiang
Heng’s works by citing a viewpoint from Gilles Deleuze, which is perfectly
appropriate. Deleuze pointed out that the vision is actually hidden in the
object rather than in the images seen through our eyes. His view also
corresponds the remarkable characteristics of Jiang Heng’s art language and
concept. The colorful repeatability and productivity have been applied in his
works to point directly at the soul of material desire of humans. This soul of
material desire will lead to a way of vanity. In particular, his works are full
of irony, which makes people feel the emptiness of existence when appreciating

Associate Professor at the School of Arts and Design of Guangdong University of
Technology. He was the only Chinese contemporary artist amongst those whose
works were collected by the headquarters of United Nations Educational,
Scientific, and Cultural Organisation in Paris in 2012. Other significant
collectors include Museo Nacional de las Cultural (Mexico), Museo Civico
Belliniano (Italy), Guangdong Museum of Art, He Xiangning Art Museum, Mantova
Youth Museum (Italy), Mingyuan Art Museum, Shenzhen Art Museum, Contemporary
Artists Magazine, Fine Arts Literature Magazine, Nanjing Sifang Art Museum,
Nanjing Qinghe Art Museum, American Consulate General, and organisations in
