About the show 关于我们的展览
People
of Beijing is a group show created by illustrators: AO, FEI FEI,
Jiasi Lee and Shui. Four independent illustrators creating narratives,
observations and interpretations of the people of Beijing. Each offering
a unique perspective spanning from technological, social to cultural.
The show surveys the full scope of people in Beijing-who they are, what
they do, who they are with. The show aims to foster a sense of
connection and reflection, empower through the exploration of various
artistic forms and processes.
北京的人 是一个由四个插画师（AO, FEI FEI, Jiasi Lee, Shui)
创作的展览。四个独立插画师站在科技，社会，文化的角度去观察，记录，反思“北京的人”这个主题。在北京的人物，他们是谁？他们做什么？和谁在一起？这个展览试图创造一个连接，反思的友好环境，利用丰富的艺术手法去展现作品和创作过程。
About the artists 关于艺术家们
AO,
born in Beijing in 1993. She graduated from Goldsmiths College,
University of London in 2017, holds master degree in Design: Critical
Practice. Her works are mainly focused on the behaviour and
consciousness of individuals who live in nowadays, in an era, that mass
information and globalisation are increasingly evident in social
context.
AO，1993年出生于北京。2017年毕业于英国伦敦大学金史密斯学院设计系；她的作品集较多关注于当今信息量巨大、全球化日趋明显的社会背景下，个体的行为和意识。

FEI FEI,
( b.1993, Hunan, China) makes drawings and paintings. She has a BFA in
illustration and printmaking. Having studied in USA, Italy and the UK,
her work is greatly influenced by the western artistic language,
however, she often found herself back to the eastern philosophical
roots, these thinkings are expressed through her drawings and paintings.
Narrative is an essential part of her work. She uses ink brushes to
create bold and assertive stories of people living in modern societies
in the contemporary world.

是一个常住北京的插画师，在美国，意大利和英国的学习经历使得她的作画语言表现出直接，大胆的性格特点。但是大多时候她发现自己内心的声音是来自东方古老
又深远的哲学理论。FEI 创作的核心是围绕故事的，叙述手法，内容是她感兴趣的话题。最常用的媒介是墨水和水彩。

我在伦敦学习和生活期间，深受这个艺术气氛开放，丰富，多元城市的文化冲击。对不同时期的复古亚文化产生浓厚兴趣，我爱艺术在历史上留下的痕迹，更爱看到这些曾经的历史如何孕育出新的艺术种⼦。
目前，我的插画和视觉设计作品主要关于现代都市生活⽅方式，以及复古亚文化为主;
During
the study in London, a city with diverse and artistic atmosphere, what I
felt was not only the impact of cultural differences, I started to get
interest in study retro subculture, I love the history of art, and I
love to see how these histories have bred new seeds of art .
Now my illustration and visual design works are mainly about modern urban lifestyle and retro subculture.

SHUI,
Shuilam Wong is a wandering creative. Raised in Japan, Hong Kong,
Singapore and Beijing, she has developed a need to observe and record
her surroundings. She studied illustration at the Camberwell College of
Art in London, where she developed her minimalistic and graphic style.
Shuilam Wong是一个流浪的艺术家。在日本、香港、新加坡、和北京几个不同的城市长大，她对于观察和记录自己的环境有着与生俱来的追求。她毕业于伦敦的坎伯韦尔艺术学院，并在那里建立了自己极简又带有设计感的风格。
