【英文有声绘本】《Mole And The Baby Bird》鼹鼠和小鸟

Mole从路边看到一只小鸟,它守在鸟旁边,等了好久,但不见有鸟妈妈过来寻找,Mole就把小鸟带回家。Mole的爸爸妈妈都说小鸟很难照顾,很容易死去。但Mole的这只小鸟并没有死。

Mole found a baby bird.
小鼹鼠看到一只鸟宝宝。

It had fallen out of its nest.
它是从窝里掉下来的。




Mole waited and waited:
小鼹鼠等啊等:

but no big bird come to help it-
都没有大鸟来帮助它——




so Mole took the baby bird home.
小鼹鼠就把鸟宝宝带回了家。

He made a nest for it.
他给它做了一个窝。

“Look!” he said to his mother.
“看,”他对妈妈说。




“It’s very, very hard to take care of a baby bird,”she said.
“照顾鸟宝宝是件非常辛苦的事。”妈妈说。

“They usually die,”said his dad.
“它们通常都会死的。”鼹鼠爸爸说。

“My bird won’t die,”said Mole.
“我的鸟不会死。”小鼹鼠说。



His friends helped him find food for the baby.
他的小伙伴们帮他给鸟宝宝找食物。



His mother showed him how to feed it.
妈妈教小鼹鼠怎么喂鸟宝宝。

Mole fed it whenever it chirped.
鸟宝宝只要唧唧一叫,小鼹鼠就喂它。

And the bird didn’t die! It grew.
鸟宝宝没有死!它长大了。



“It’s my pet bird,”said Mole.”
“它是我的宠物鸟,”小鼹鼠说。

“It’s not a pet bird.It’s a wild bird,”said his mother.
“它不是宠物鸟,它是一只野生的小鸟,”妈妈说。

The bird fluttered its wings.
鸟宝宝扇动着它的翅膀。



“Your bird is trying to fly,”said his mother.
“你的鸟儿正在试着飞,”妈妈说。

“No!”cried Mole. “It mustn’t fly!”
“不!”小鼹鼠哭着说:“我不许它飞走!”




Mole found some wood and some nails.
小鼹鼠找了些木头和钉子。




He borrowed his dad’s toolbox.
还从爸爸那里借来了工具箱。




“What are you making?”said his dad.
“你要做什么?”爸爸问。

“I making a cage for my pet bird!” said Mole.
“我要给我的宠物鸟做个鸟笼子!”小鼹鼠说。




He put his bird into its new cage.
他把鸟儿放在新笼子里。

The bird was sad.
鸟儿很忧伤。




Mole’s mother was sad, too.
鼹鼠妈妈也很忧伤。

But Mole kept his bird, because he loved it.
但小鼹鼠就是关着他的鸟,因为他爱它。




Then-Grandad came to visit.
有一天爷爷来做客。

He looked at Mole’s pet bird.
他看了看小鼹鼠的宠物鸟。




Presently Grandad said,
过了一会爷爷说,

"Let's go for a walk, little Mole."
“我们一起散步去吧,小鼹鼠。”




Grandad took Mole to the top of a high hill.
爷爷带着小鼹鼠走到了山顶上。




Mole looked down at the trees far below.
小鼹鼠向山下望去,看到了远处的树林。

He felt the wild wind trying to lift him.
他觉得原野的风快把他给举起来了。




“Wheee! I’m flying!” cried Mole.
“哇哦!我在飞啦!”小鼹鼠激动地叫着。

“Nearly,”said Grandad.
“差不多啦!”爷爷说。




When Mole got home he looked at his bird.
当小鼹鼠回到家,他看了看他的鸟。

It was sitting very still in its cage in Mole’s dark underground room.
在小鼹鼠黑黑的地下房间里,鸟儿安静地呆在笼子里。




“Birds are meant to fly,”said Mole.
“鸟儿就应该飞,”小鼹鼠说。

He opened the cage door, and he let his bird fly away because he loved it.
他打开鸟笼,让他的鸟飞走了,因为他爱它。

Then he cried.
然后,他哭了。




The next day Mole went into the forest.
第二天,小鼹鼠来到森林里。

He saw his bird flying, soaring, free.
他看到他的鸟自由地飞着。

And Mole was glad.
小鼹鼠感到很高兴。
