Brief History of a River (and other two poems)

Every drop of water has an origin or a last name

Behind the mountains is still a mountain, the deeper the more blurred

From upstream to downstream

A river gets rid of whatever it should:

Mountains, fields, jungles and meadows

The cliff and the bridges

Fishing boats and a jumble of flotsam

A river shirtless

Rushes out a zigzag waterway

And takes a breath on the flat, sipping a few spirits, taking a drag of a cigarette

A crowd of washwomen wipe their hair with water and adjust their dress

The layer upon layer of fine sand on shore

Dried by the wind, reflects a glow of gold

A wave splashes over and it reverts to the color of mud

It does not mean that the river has lost everything

It carefully polishes colorful pebbles and giving away along his way

It holds tightly the water, the surging waves, sending to another great river

And then it disappears or maybe sleep

Crazy Heart Beats

Tired of seeing the river, listen to it. Listen to the water waves slip into your dream

Dreams abound to one who dwells on the riverbanks, and the waters turn to stone

Beads of sweat on his forehead become white ants

Rushes grow out of his cheeks

He let the river climb up and cover his body

Taking his snoring away

The fish in water don't understand drunk nonsense

The river-watcher wakes up in the waves, staggering

The sun is shining overhead

He turns to a weeping willow nearby for help, and the trunk becomes a mast

Waving twigs, pointing to stump, shaking tree crown

The river flows quietly. Like the wind

He never leaves and has become part of the river

The words he uttered are the sound of splashing water

Over his head perched ducks on their appointment, migratory gull

Hair tied to the ship's cable

On flooded summer nights, he hears the frantic heart beats of the river

The River Has More Secrets Than an Aquatic Snake

The earth draws out the river and I fill it with my body

The river was not surprised. In its eyes

I am a loose piece of earth

Falls or be driven away from the river wall

The lonely mudstones are good for calcium and to raise the riverbed

A river through mountains and gorges for a long time does not harden or silt up

The annual flood renews its blood

Fishermen and boats I haven't seen for years

Remember the trees I planted in batches, which died or survived

Like treasures

The river treats them as its own baby and water them well

The river holds a drooping twig and talks when the water rises

I lie underwater and discover more secrets about rivers than water snakes

The sky against which it stood is a deep meadow

Feeding mysterious legends

The land I speak of is the land of trees

The trees I know are the trees of the river and never betray the river

Never doubt even when flying
