巴色特猎犬
一阵碎步
那只戴着棕黄色面具的
在麦垛里眯眼儿打盹儿，扑棱着两只红润的耳朵的
鼻翼与双唇镶嵌着一圈儿纯白色短毛的家伙
又跑到桦树林里鬼混去了
用她那结实的胸
用她那四根烧火棍儿般粗短的腿
用她那一双金色而无辜的眼睛
寻找蝴蝶，或者折腾河里的小鲟鱼去了
死亡般的寂静
阳光，免费的午餐
阴影沉默着回答了实体的问候
枝头的风铃吵吵着
似婴儿的呓语
冬日的气息，自岩缝里逸出，
探寻秋天的营帐
叶子还没来得及哼唱完最后一支歌，一阵摇晃
滑过小狮子头（巴色特猎犬）懒洋洋的视线
露珠女孩很想将充足的阳光装进自己晶莹的袋子里
突然跌落，粉身碎骨，向着空茫四溅
我多么的希望，等我的小狮子头再次回到身边时
奇迹会再次出现：叶子回到枝条；
寒流从枯草间收缩黑色的爪子；
已故多年的人重新回到亲人们中间；
洁白的雪花在落地的瞬间化作了桃花，樱花，梨花
开满枝头。那样
我的小狮子头又可以回到树林里
寻找她的蝴蝶，树蛙
捉几条顶新鲜的鲑鱼，用她的小脚
踩灭几处小火堆
追逐那几只长舌的好看的喇叭鸟了
活见鬼
也许她真的很轻松的做到了这一点
一溜小跑
出现在我的视野之中
冷不丁
窜进我半卧而多绒的怀里
那只小鲑鱼
那只小鲑鱼
正在阴暗的地板上翻滚……

The Basset Hound
After taking small steps
With a tan mask
Napped and squinted in straw stack, flapping her rosy ears
With a ring of pure white short hair covering her nose and lips
Then she hanged around in the birch woods again,
With her strong chest
With her four stubby little legs
With her golden but innocent eyes
Playing with butterflies or baby sturgeon in the river
A deathly silence
Sunshine, like a free lunch
Its shadows greeted all things in silence
The chimes from a tree branch were jingling
Like the babble of a baby
The breath of winter, escaped from the crevices of rock,
To look for Autumn camps
Before the leaf could hum its last song, they precariously
Streaked across the eyesight of the lazy little lion (Basset hound)
The dewdrop girl wanted to pack the sunlight into her crystal bag, suddenly
Fell and shattered, with her tears flowing toward nothingness
How I wish, when my little lion came back to me again
Miracles would occur again: leaves return to branches;
The cold draw its black claws from the dry grass;
The long-dead rejoin their relatives;
As soon as they fall, snowflakes turn into peach, cherry, and pear blossoms
On the branches they are in full bloom. And that way,
My little lion would go back to the woods
To look for her butterflies, tree frogs
Or catch some fresh salmon tops, with her little feet
Stepping on a few small fires
Or chase those nice, long-tongued trumpeters
Unbelievably
Maybe she really made it easy to do so
Trotted off,
Came into my sight
Suddenly,
Ran into my half-lying warm bosom
That little salmon
That little salmon
Was rolling on the dark floor...

About the author:
Deng Panfeng, a contemporary Chinese poet, born in Xi’an, Shaanxi in 1975, pen name Emperor Penguin, is a professional doctor. He has published many works, such as collections of poems, God in the Himalayas, Thinking, Humble Contemplation, collections of prose poems, Tranquil Heart, The Quietly Burning Northern Grove, long poems, Bird Planet, The Sparrow and the Witch, poetic plays, The Lion King’s Tear, suite poems War Hexalogy, Awl. Some of his works also have been published in periodicals and anthologies, such as Jiutian Literature, Chinese Local Poets Special Issue, Selected Contemporary Chinese Prose, Avant-Garde Poetry, A Collection of Essays by Famous Writers, Rendition of International Poetry, and so on.

Guo Xiaoqian, postgraduate majoring in English Language and Literature in Hebei Normal University. She has translated selected Chinese Haiku of Zhu Kunling, also co-translated Wild Goose Whistler—Selected Short Poems of Zhang Zhonghai with a Chinese poet Bei Ta, and published several articles.
