Venkatesha Nayak [India]
The war is over (and other two poems)
The war is over.
Blood, speech, silence
Are everything is frozen.
Just a vulture cheers.
All weapons are passive,
Dip in organ blood
Are in complete leisure
The bond and relationships are
Chopped by the sharpness
The war is over
Body, head, discarded
Hands, fingers are spread all over
Like it is thrown.
The colour of the sky,
It’s like landing on the floor in the evening
Reflected
The war is over
As the umbilical cord bond is separated
Beyond the humanitarian base
The life of the spirits - the bond of life is broken
Impossible to assemble
So many questions
The battle went on
Disguise, charge,
Indignation, selfishness, lust
And so on
Finally the contrast
In frozen ink
On the History page
The answer to ruthless death
The war is over
Illiterate
Turn the wheel and spin the coil
Predicted on the curve line
The ambiguity, in the clarity of education
The outsider is illiterate
It has become the standard
As wheel turns and season changes
The future of palm reading predictions
Was changed
Walk and rock path
In the legacy of ink pens
The uneducated was identified as a illiterate
Thumb lines drawn round and round
Became a character in shape
Writing became education
That is where the ego goes
The lines may be blurry
It's not easy to cheat.
Everyone turned around
Next to Bio Metric
Now all were equal
Mud on the leg
Slippers in the leg as soon as you get up in the morning
Slippers for bathing, washroom to enter.
Tiles mosaic throughout the floor.
Chilling on the leg, Pain in the ankle.
When leaving, shoes and socks
It's been a long time since the feet have not been soiled
If going to walk outside
The whole courtyard is the interior locks
If you go a little further the Tar Road
And further it’s Concrete
It's been a long time since the feet have not been soiled
There is no mud floor inside the house
The dust also went out of its way
Even if there was walking
A little breeze to the feet while lying down
It’s been a long time since the feet have not been soiled
Thus the dead and foot stops walking
On the burial Mud touches the leg.
If burnt in fire, manure mixes with
Life becomes soil
The love of soil cannot be forgotten
