Bio

I have been a fervent mover since I was a teenager -- first with dance in my teens and then yoga in my 20s. I have been doing Pilates for 13 years now and been teaching for 3 years since I quit my full-time employment in 2017.

After my certification in Pilates, I started to venture deeper into the world of movement, exploring other ways of rehabilitation, including getting trained in active fascia release, principles of kinesiology, structural integration and functional movement, and most recently, getting trained for certification in Gyrokinesis and Floor Barre.

My love for rehabilitation is personal. I have an imbalanced spine, a condition called scoliosis and it was a great challenge for me to find my center of gravity. I could not feel my core and had always felt like I was working asymmetrically.

Pilates and continuous movement rehab helped me change all of that.

From my own experience, I find the best way to develop strength and flexibility is through

1) finding our deep core connection

2) create length in the spine

3) create space in the joints.

I strive to achieve all three, which are the fundamentals of all movements with my clients, no matter what the problem or movement objective is.

Ultimately, the body is the temple of our soul. With an agile and strong body, we live happier and more fulfilling lives.
