Foreigner Caught Entering China with Fake COVID Certificate!

Recently, during the process of inspecting the documents of imported cases in China, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Kingdom of the Netherlands found out an Italian who transferred from Amsterdam, actually tested positive before departure, and he had got his Health QR code with forged test certificate and entered China.

More details were provided in the Embassy announcement:

The passenger departed from Bologna, Italy, and arrived in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He submitted a "Negative result certificate of Covid-19 PCR and IgM antibody" and obtained the green health QR code from the consulate through the "Epidemic Prevention Health Code" online application program. He then took China Eastern Airlines Flight MU772 to China. After entering China, he was diagnosed as an infected case.

The passenger's behavior of forging testing certificate is extremely bad, which not only puts a big threat to the health and safety of passengers on the same flight, but also seriously interferes with the epidemic prevention work. The domestic authorities in China will make penalty on the passenger for his fraudulent behavior in accordance with the law.

China Embassy in the Netherlands released a statement saying that an Italian faked Covid-19 test reports in order to board flight to China.
