All of these newrules will go into effect in the following areas by the end of March: Shanghai,Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Anhui, Shandong, Guangdong, Sichuan, Yunan, andNingxia

During the pilot phase any unexpired Foreign Expert Work Permit, ForeignExpert Certificate, Alien Employment License, and Alien Employment Permit willcontinue to be valid. Anyone with anyone of the above permits can apply for theForeigner’s Work Permit voluntarily.
Also keep in mind that sincethe new rules are newly implemented the actual practice of government agenciesaround China may change based on feedback or issues they encounter. So some ofthis information may be a little bit different than what your local governmentactually does.

✔Please note: Applicants in China can only apply for a new visa if they meet any one of following conditions:
➡ Holders of other types of visas or validresidency permits, who are categorized as Class A expats
➡ Change of employer but the position withthe new employer is the same, and the residence permit is still valid
➡ Accompanying family member with validvisa or residence permit
➡ Other condition approved by competentauthority.
