40 working hours/week, 8 working hours/day

Hotel attendant in Front office:

You will assist in management of daily Front Office operations and work with customers and Guests as part of a project used to demonstrate capabilities required in the hotel management sector. A Front Office Guest Service Manager is responsible for managing the first impressions of our Guests and, therefore, must perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

•     Supervise the efficient operations of reception including check in/out procedures

•     Support team members in handling guest requests and enquires to ensure a positive outcome is achieved

•     Ensure that both the Front Office Manager and Reception Supervisors are kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from Guests and/or other departments

•     Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times

•     Advise team of any special events or VIP Guests in the hotel for events or for general accommodations

•     Understand thoroughly all hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties

•     Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Front Office Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork

•     Maximize room occupancy and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities

•     Ensure Team Members have a current knowledge of all room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, local area and other general product knowledge necessary to perform their duties

•     Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire Team Members to exceed standards

•     Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures when required

•     Act in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front of house equipment and property management systems

•     Follow and adhere to company brand standards

•     Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships with Team Members

•     Work with your Manager to identify a specific project to complete during your internship placement

Hotel attendant in Food & Beverage:

You are responsible for learning all aspects of Food and Beverage operations during your placement to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Food and Beverage Guest Service Manager will also be required to manage guest queries and strive to achieve departmental targets. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

•    Able to work in all areas of Food and Beverage including Bar, Restaurant, Room Service and Conference and Events

•    Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner

•    Take and deliver customer orders, consistently demonstrating high levels of customer service

•    Prepare set ups for tables and/or rooms

•    Follow cash handling procedures

•    Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner

•    Up-sell with latest departmental incentives

•    Ensure compliance of brand standards

•    Strive to achieve departmental targets

•    Ensure cleanliness of work areas

•    Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation

•    Comply with local licensing laws

•    Be environmentally aware

•    Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships

•    Supervise Food and Beverage Outlet operations

•    Communicate and delegate tasks to the team

•    Ensure compliance of brand standards

•    Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner

•    Represent needs of the team

•    Assist Food and Beverage management with achieving financial targets

•    Assist Food and Beverage management with training and development of team members

•    Assist with annual and mid-year appraisals with team members under your responsibility

•    Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation

•    Be environmentally aware

•    Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships

★ Requirements

l Candidates from Japan/South Korea/European or American countries, aged 25-30

l Bachelor degree or above, majoring in Tourism, hospitality or hotel management related

l Good command of spoken and written English, Japanese and Korean

l Reference letter + Certification of no criminal record + Per health certificate

l Previous experience in a customer-focused industry

l Desire to progress within the Hospitality industry

l Positive attitude and good communication skills

l Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service

l Excellent grooming standards

l Ability to work on your own and as part of a team

l Competent level of IT proficiency

l It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

l Previous supervisory experience

l Previous experience in the hotel industry
